  • Since its release as an alternative fuel, ethanol has been an absolute game changer for the high-performance community -- in short, it's cheap race gas! But back in the early days, running ethanol was a process of having a separate calibration file for pump gas and ethanol, testing ethanol content at each fill up, and having to adjust the calibration accordingly. Not exactly ideal.
    And while this is still the case with some vehicles, thankfully, tunable A90 Toyota GR Supra models have a better solution available -- a Flex Fuel conversion! In this video, we cover what Flex Fuel is, how it works, what parts we use and recommend, and the simple installation procedure. We hope you find it useful!

    I wonder how much an 2021 m340 Xdrive would make on a similar setup being awd has to lose some ponies

    Are there limits on the stock fuel system? Could it handle full E85?

    Jordan, I see this car here is running NT555's. Do you happen to know what size? Rear looks great, especially at 6:47. Not too thin of a sidewall but not overly meaty either.

    I want to see what it makes on just e85

      Sadly, we're limited by the capabilities of the stock direct injection fuel system. However, with a proper port injection system and full E85, we've seen high-500whp and well over 600lbft on stock turbocharger. Pretty cool!

      @@NationalSpeedInc Would a larger fuel pump help out some more to to run E85?

    • @tylerwhitley3604
      @tylerwhitley3604 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@escoson555 Its mostly the limitation on the high pressure side. Port injection helps alleviate all of this since its a mechanical fuel pump on the high pressure side. Don't need a larger fuel pump or low pressure fuel pump added until you start looking at upgrading the turbo. So it would be either a port injection kit or the CSF billet intake w/ the ports and fuel rail built into it.

      Does it work on fuel it?

    • @joshuadqueen
      @joshuadqueen ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mostriluui yes. Fuel it ties into Jb4 too. I am about to go that route just cause it's cheap for the HP. Supra fuel system is limited to e40 before upgrades are needed. e85 isn't ideal for Supra e-30 - e-50 is the common range.
