- Nimsdai was born in Nepal and like his father and brothers before, he signed up to join the Gurkhas, where he would serve for six years. Nims then passed selection for the UK's special-forces and went on to serve another ten years with the Special Boat Service. After leaving the forces, Nims has gone on to become one of the world's greatest mountaineers, accumulating an ever-growing list of record-breaking climbs and rescue missions. After one such mission, Nims was awarded an MBE for outstanding achievement in high-altitude mountaineering. His Netflix documentary, '14 Peaks', follows his attempt to summit all 14 of the world's 'Death Zone' peaks in just seven months.

Nims is an exceptional human being. This man's drive is superhuman. To join the Ghurkas and to serve in the British Army is an accomplishment enough for any man.
But to then become the 1st ghurka to become a member of the Special Forces. And then climb all these mountains funding it himself is just staggering.
People throw this word around too often these days, but this man is a living legend.

Hello Chris hope you don't mind me leaving a comment here, to assist folks with what's going on,an I wanted to present an idea to you first an then to many others the same notion, I've been thinking what if a lot of us at the same time synchronise to listen to the same music, on a given day an at a similar time frame, the point to this being a positive energetic celebration of a distinct group of people or culture or continent, at a time of need.
So Gurkhas music folk heritage or an anthem, then say didgeridoo
Australia to support them right now, Austria, Italy opera, France the accordion perhaps that Amelie theme tune, an so on this would in a joyless way put our positive attention in their specific direction an in our thoughts an minds in a mass collective, it could just build in to a movement that doubles as awareness of what's going down hRd to hide when hundreds of thousands of folks millions even are connecting an Anthem to their well wishes!
I'm not an early riser yet inspired by yourself I'm going to give it a go, move my cycle around Cheers.
