Fantastic collection! I watch this video often. It is an inspiration. Wanting to do the same in N scale. I like how you do HO trains on the floor throughout the house. Not enough room to have long HO trains on a layout in one small room.
I did have an older athearn blue box BN SD40-2 with the metal handrails given to me when I was 9 years old for Christmas twenty years ago, it died a few years ago at last. I did manage to purchase the new SD40-2 mid production BN by Kato No. 6770. love it!
Well for track. Atlas track is a good idea. Its not the most costly and is great quality. Get 24"" or more radius curves for the train so you can run more of a selection of rolling stock and locomotives without trouble. Atlas, KATO, and Intermountain are my favorite makes for locomotives. Freight cars with metal wheels and kadee couplers really make a difference too!
Neat!! I'm into O Gauge and collect and operate Lionel and MTH. I love the Northern Pacific, Milwaukee Road, Montana Rail Link, Burlington Northern, BNSF, and Wisconsin & Southern, Wisconsin Central, Soo Line and Canadian Pacific. .
I would check details west or detail associates for locomotive parts. They usually tell you on the packaging what the part is and what locomotive it is for on the locomotive!
Wow what a collection you have. You should have shelves on a entire wall from floor to ceiling with glass doors showing them off. Which you may have done that by now since this video is old.
I have an N scale layout at my dads. We've probably only spent about $70 on it and all we have is a 4 car amtrak set from the 70s, about 5 or 6 freight cars and a bachmann ATSF F7a set from the 80's.
@dmncau yes I saw that. I have been wanting to get a Hornby locomotive myself but seeing as I reside in the US that is a tad bit difficult. Although Hattons does international shipping it's still probably going to be an added $10 for shipping to the United States
do you have any room for a track layout?? and what about the boxes!!! awesome collection anyway.................its a pleasure to see such a fleet..good luck mate.......marty
Danny, I just stumbled across this video of yours from 2 years ago! I asked you about a vid of all your locos but you never pointed me towards this vid? Kind regards, John.
260 or so I forget I have had to pack everything up when the carpet was replaced. Some of them on display on my bookshelf. Ill be making a new video soon.
Ill see what I can do asap. I just been busy with stuff. My grandmother passed away and I am tried up with work, the funeral, and other things. However I will do my best!
I would have around 270 locomotives, I even got a brand new kato UP AC4400CW 5780 on the way! :) I have around 100 or so freight cars I need to look into the freight cars. I am kinda like the guy you spoke of in your comment.
I"m wondering, What do you do with all these locomotives, Do you actually run them, On a layout or at a club layout, Or do you just let them collect dust?
@chambs123 Sorry about that John. I keep forgetting about some of my old videos. The room here has also changed alot but the locomotives are still here.
How often do you run your engines, i see a few of them are lightly covered with dust will this affect the performance. Im just starting my HO collection any advice?
DDAAYYYUUMMMMM thats a lot of engine my friend....spare any?! haha. sad i only saw 1 SP. do you ever run any? ever thought about selling or Donating any? great video! RSB
Holy Sheep Shit Batman! Dats a lot-o-trains for one young man! When did you start colecting these (not so cheap) gems? at birth maybe? lol. My hat's off to you young man, you're doing well. One day when you're a retired old fart like me, you'll have some great knowledge to share with folks who're starting out. Thanks for taking time to share with us. Kevin
I could see why you don't have any NS for sale, its pretty hard to come by and these days its always an arm and a leg in price. Btw thanks for the info on your local train shop selling some GP60s.
Hi there. Just wanted to know what brand of CN blue locos are they? Or are they custom? If they are stock could you give me road#s and maybe stock#s.. Thanks...
Nice train collection I love trains
Fantastic collection! I watch this video often. It is an inspiration. Wanting to do the same in N scale. I like how you do HO trains on the floor throughout the house. Not enough room to have long HO trains on a layout in one small room.
You're never too old for collecting model trains.
I did have an older athearn blue box BN SD40-2 with the metal handrails given to me when I was 9 years old for Christmas twenty years ago, it died a few years ago at last. I did manage to purchase the new SD40-2 mid production BN by Kato No. 6770. love it!

You can still get the BNSF SD40-2s from modeltrainstuff com for a better price than what I paid. LOL They might have an AC4400 still left.
I Love that CSX SD70. Great Vid!
That's a very nice collection you got there. That looks like more than a $1000,00 investment!
Holy Crap nice collection thats like 100 engines if not more. I didnt see much yard power but i saw some CP alright!!!
You can put a big piece of plastic sheeting over the locos on the table to avoid the dust buildup.
I would check details west or detail associates for locomotive parts. They usually tell you on the packaging what the part is and what locomotive it is for on the locomotive!
Overflow is an understatement.
wow, i see alot of things i want, very nice collection, to bad you cant have a big show case for all of them, 5 stars
Wow what a collection you have. You should have shelves on a entire wall from floor to ceiling with glass doors showing them off. Which you may have done that by now since this video is old.
