Essex Village Walks (4K) (part 2).. Newport, Debden and Widdington.

Part 2 of my series of videos featuring our Essex village walks. This walk begins in Newport, Near Saffron Walden, and takes us cross country to the villages of Debden and Widdington.

I used to work on the Railways and one of my duties would be to walk the tracks, walking in stages from Bethnsl Green to King's Lynn and all the branch lines and many many more lines than that, Newport was a walk, that Bridge you walked past that was good for the heart, as there are few safe refuges once up there plenty of limited clearances, Newport from memory has an excellent Dorringtons bakery loverly food!!, another is in Stansted Mountfitchet

Thank you. Lockdown is a curse. I had so many wonderful village walks planned and had to scrub so many due to COVID.

Another great vlog. Do you follow a book of walks for these Essex villages? If so, which one?

I don't have any books. I plot a group of villages on my Ordnance Survey maps and plan a circular walk. I also research any places of interest on the way.
