How could you not include Paul Henderson's goal in 1972?

I would say that these are the top-3 Team Canada goals of all-time:
    #3 - Gretzky to Lemieux, 1987
    #2 - Iginla to Crosby, 2010
    #1 - Esposito to Henderson, 1972

Paul Henderson, 1972 is the Greatest Goal EVER SCORED! There is no beating it. It will always be #1!!

I agree that no goal will ever be bigger than Henderson's but I have to admit that Sid's goal in 2010 sure does come close.

Mike Folingo's goal vs Detroit in 93 will always be the greatest goal in my recent memory. Its the only goal i remember when i was 6 years old...mostly because you could tell it was his dream come true

    Ahhhhhh hockey
The most emotional of Canadian sports
It's what our dads and brothers watch on the living room TV and drink beer to
    We hate
    We love it
But why hasn't a Canadian team won the nhl in 30 years
I've spent 30 years wondering this giving anti Canadian and society hate speeches
We win the Olympics but who gives a f....that stuff don't count in hockey
All the jocks in Canada know it
I am still not sure of the answer but
I think a sports therapist explained to me once why
    They summarized
Its cause Canada men secretly have low self esteem as
A country...the players and fans and government and referees
    Caused by
A mass brainwashing lie that Canada and hockey should be perfect
Canada and hockey and the world is not perfect
At the last moment the Canadian people rebel and self sabotage
Loosing the nhl on purpose because we are mad at our society or country or sport
    Because it's not perfect...
The sports psychology therapist explained that he literally thought
    The world
    America
    The cia
    And big money
Would have to force any Canadian team to win it
With cheating to help Canadian teams literally against their will
    Because if not
Players and citizens would argue about anything in their lives
Personal or political or professional or religious or economic or racial
Or nationalistic all linking hardcore emotions to a
    Sport
Causing us to collectively loose the nhl
I realized this when at the last moment last season
Instead of cheering for beloved French Canada and its boose and poutine
I was cheering for their defeat because I was jealous of other canadians
A low point in my life compared to the sense of shared of victory of seeing a hockey team win on TV like a kid
    I am sorry for that...
