How do u all do your medical insurance? Do you go out to the marketplace and get individual medical coverage?

@Love.Trave.Nursing how do you manage to keep your insurance once you take a month off or more? My agency discontinue your insurance after 30 days

@@soleil80 Yes, it is the same for our agency as well and that is one of the reasons we try not to take breaks for longer than 30 days at a time!

One of the biggest concerns about whether travel nursing is still worth it is the decreased rates since the ending of the pandemic. For example, I have seen contracts that pay equal to or less than what I make as a staff nurse. Are there travel contracts still lucrative enough to make it worthwhile?

That is such a great point! In our opinion, yes, there are many travel contracts that are still lucrative enough to make it worthwhile! The way you have to think about it is, yes, sure a lot of contracts are paying the same hourly rate as what staff nurses are currently making, BUT you’re accruing your stipend as well which is honestly what pushes the contract into becoming worthwhile. Especially if you can find an area where the cost of living is not too expensive, you will be able to see that difference!

Hello Maya, this is the way that we generally speak. If it’s causing you an inconvenience of any sort at the normal speed I believe there is an option to increase the speed to your liking. Thank you. 😊
