I go hunting and fishing with my bf. The only thing we disagreed on was for me to get my gun when my buck was 100% dead but to be fair he couldn't see it and it was my 1st deer I ever shot and he didn't want it to get away so it wasn't even an argument lol it was a blast. I guess some girls are built different hahah
In my experience, I get outfished when I take people fishing, because I wind up running around helping untangle lines, get fish off hooks, bait hooks, etc. that I wind up not getting my own hook wet the entire time.
If you teach a man to fish, he’ll probably ignore you and wind up making you do all the “gross stuff” anyway.

Hunting with wife sounds like fishing with the kids. It's all about their experience. If you expect to actually hunt/fish that is what guy weekends are for.

The fence hopping is such a Midwest thing. Glad the rule is becoming mainstream knowlege now. Every year people would be asking the same darn question: "Can I just grab my deer I shot?" DNR: "No. You gotta ask the land owner first. No, they cannot take your deer."
Depends on the state, iowa you can enter any property you like if you're retrieving game. The landowner doesn't really have any right to kick you out.

I have a friend with an app that shows all the property lines and who owns the property. He pays for the app, but it is pretty sweet.

Wow this video made my day! Not only is it my anniversary, but it’s my 8th as well! I didn’t have my wife in the blind this year, but I did have my 3 year old daughter with very similar results. Keep up the great work!

Well, keep taking her out there - we have a couple different friends who have daughters who have each gotten a deer on their 1st tries. The one's daughter was only 9 or 10, it was some extra-young youth hunt thing here in WI ( 2 years ago ).

I went deer hunter with my husband (boyfriend at the time) ONCE. Never again, had to walk miles through knee deep snow, with a crust on top from a light rain the night before. He can do that with the guys. 🦌

I took my wife fishing (sort of) once. She came to find me while I was fishing a creek. I was catching nothing but she gave me no good reason not to try fishing herself when I asked why she wasn’t interested. I set her up with an earthworm on a bare hook to give her a better chance and she caught a little bass first cast. Then then handed me the rod and asked if she could be done lol!
Started as a sweet moment, then quickly and witty-ly went off the trail. Loved the journey this story told 🦌😀

Yep, even if you can make the shot the chance of the deer hearing you release and moving before the arrow gets there isn’t worth wounding an animal. Because your not getting another shot 99 times out of 100.

Love these Collabs. Today is my 47th wedding anniversary, so this was a nice present. The only hunting my husband and I did today was trying to get our pesky cat back in the house. We live in SoCal so what do you expect?
For some reason this comment reminded me of the time my brother in law went deer hunting and didn't come home with anything. A couple hours later my sister was sitting outside at the patio table and a deer ran through the yard right past her.
I always return to this video when I am enveloped in rage just to see that face at the end and relate to it.
