Regarding exhaust wrap, this primarily affects painted metal, aluminized, and mild steel the greatest. It affects stainless a much lower amount, but it will still have corrosion over time. While I can't necessarily recommend it, depending on where you live and how wet and/or how much salt you see, wrapping stainless exhaust isn't the death sentence people think it is. That comes from old hot rodders wrapping their $99 chevy headers and wondering why they fell apart two years later. Titanium exhaust wrap will last 3-5 years easily. There are also off-road wraps that will last a bit longer but still, any wrap will hold water and potentially invite corrosion. The main benefit is going to be under hood hear reduction. Actual performance benefits will be very minors, especially on a lower downpipe. An upper would see slightly more power potential and potentially a slightly faster spool response. It's up to you to decide if a hundred bucks in exhaust wrap is worth 3-5 years of reduced temps and slightly high potential hp gains.
Drag strips have opened up down here now. We had a great time last weekend. I think some of the Q50s down here are going to race the faster Stingers this weekend. Should be some good matchups. I think they are looking to go into the 10s this weekend. That is pretty easy to do with the Q50s but no one has done it with a Stinger yet. I went 12.12 @ 116.5 mph with my RWD Stinger and a JB4 on map 2 with just 93 Octane gas, stock intake box, stock exhaust, and no methanol or ethanol. Not too shabby for practically no mods.
