      @SUBRESIDANCE I was about to agree with you but then I realised every religious thinker and philosopher has done the same thing, they have usually stood on the shoulders of thinkers before them :-) Peace.

    Aloha from Kaua'i! Thanks to internet, I finally get to see this wonderful content. Although I am contacting you from a Heavenly place on earth, the panel might have run across the statistics of the major cities in the U.S. My wife and I taught for 20 years in America's most violent city, Detroit, Michigan. Art is what changed my students' lives in that harsh environment. They won one of the top three prizes for America's highest paying art contest for grades 4-8 open to all students in Michigan. It was sponsored by Ford Motor Company and the Detroit News. My students were among the top three winners for 6 years in a row! It was very motivating for young creative minds, a dream contest for the ghetto. The RARE Foundation of Troy, Michigan gave me an award and made a documentary about the power of art for at risk students. It became available for teachers in Michigan.

    @PICLex it's when someone says that what's right or wrong for them isn't necessarily right/wrong for anyone else...so, people need direction and positive direction at that...hence the purpose of the peace summit. By the way, I agree with you....not that that matters.

  • @PICLex
    @PICLex 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    I think it all depends on the individual. For the most part people don't want to be happy, they would rather be 'right' or 'safe', and they will get that one way or the other. And you can't change what they do.. So what is the purpose of all of this? Ultimately we change the world by our own happiness. So to 'fix' the world, find your own happiness, that is all we can do...

  • @untonsured

    Ekhart Tolle is the only enlightened person on the stage. Every other person, including the Dalai Lama, is not enlightened. They still live within the ego. Some spiritual "masters" such as Sadh Guru are actually very egoic and just enjoying posing as if they are enlightened lol.

    Too much time is spent with these men all wanting to weigh in over totally obvious conclusions, it's like watching a circlejerk waiting for the Dalai Lama to speak. From Tolle on everybody is vying to crack a lame joke. The egos in the room are completely exhausting.
