    When I hear soaring in relationships the first thing that comes to mind is, the relationship is not burdensome. When you’re burdened you’re weighted down and can’t soar.

    @ Cory . Thank you for sharing how getting to the root of your traumas and reparenting yourself is so fundamental. Unfortunately, most people don’t know they have been wounded… and aren’t in communion with others that love them enough to hold a mirror up to them. (To hug them with BOTH hands )
    Everyone should have a therapist. Especially in our community. The body keeps the score and trauma is so deeply rooted ❤

    God breaks you to bless you.
    I've heard people say that they won't sit under a pastor that is single because they know they are not abstaining. They are in the streets. Men & women Pastors... That's what I've heard a lot.

  • @danagrowe3889
    @danagrowe3889 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

    This was a great episode to watch. My only push back is that yet again R. W. Goines is only sharing what he wants people to know so he is painted in a good light. I say this because I know for a fact that Pastor Goines is bitter towards his soon to be ex wife because He was my Pastor from 2006 until September this year. He literally scolded a member for praying with her in the foyer and told same member to tell myself and the other woman who was praying for her to bring her to the parking lot if we want to pray for her. Only a bitter person would suggest such a thing. I asked Pastor Goines personally how was that Christlike and he said I was falling for the manipulation of his wife so I couldnot understandhis perspective.
    It is very unfortunate to know Pastor continues to paint half-truths. BTW, I also know people left the church because his divorce is unbiblical and is in direct opposite of what he has taught his congregation for years...and when people try to hold him accountable he became rude, dismissive and insulting towards them. His behavior towards those who do not agree with his divorce or his continued ungodly behavior towards his soon to be ex wife continues to be the proof of his bitterness and DISHONOR.
    Lastly, I don't know if anyone else has told him, so I am assuming that he was speaking about me when he referenced being told about a demon...I told him that and everything else about his behavior out of love...because I know that God did not create him to be a manipulating, controlling liar who uses the pulpit as a weapon. He is being influenced by a Jezebel demon. It is still a shock...but God as my witness, my ex-Pastor is not being totally honest in what he is saying on this video.

      @donnamgordon6225 It sounds like your discernment is on point. If it was a man you heard, it was Pastor Taylor. I call him Bishop. He is integral, transparent and being used by God mightily in this season! Thank you for prayers...the church and Pastor Goines is going through a transition. I too, pray for them as it was my church home for almost 2 decades and I still have relationships with many of the members.

    I wish Christians would stop sayings things will destroy them. The word says greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world. If God is greater in me, how in the heck can I be destroyed my anything?

    I think the image or appearances in the church are easier to deal with than dealing with the issues people really face! Let's be real and help each other with issues we ALL face! Just bc your soul is saved doesn't mean your body and mind are. It takes YEARS & the help of the HOLY SPIRIT to make them align.

    The Pastor is so right. It's scary in these streets and church. I've been divorced as long as I'ved been save. I don't date. Honestly, I'm more skeptical about getting into a relationship right now. And it's more scary that I'm so comfortable being single. So I'm not sure if I want to be married.

    Discussion has been great but 1:01 I hate every time there is a reaction to major church issues that hurts someone's feelings, people are "dead weight, non tithers, not saved, church hoppers " whatever... They have the same liberty in Christ as you - perhaps the season you/the church is now in/going through with this transition is not going to be advantageous to their family, growth, soaring. We don't always have to denigrate the ones who left, especially if they did it decent and in order and are in fellowship someplace you respect, to encourage those who remain or whose feelings were hurt.

    A video about marriage and relationships…The 2 host’s aren’t married 🤔 speaking from experience, I guess. I can better receive it when I know they have been threw the thick and thin and hung in there. To remain single is a blessing to the kingdom. Be devoted to God. Pastor should study 1 Corinthians 7:10 remain single or reconcile, IF he desires marriage .

    I’m confused about this because I didn’t grow up in the church: When did church people decide it’s ok to get divorced? I thought the principles of the church were against that.
