Thanks for the video. It helped me verify my copy is a first pressing. And to be that guy. Mine is a worn copy I found at the Salvation Army Thrift store in the Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco 20+ years ago.
Hey Kenny good to see ya !!! I do not have the first album but this is great info on what to look for for a 1st press. I would imagine its very hard to find these. Cheers !!!
What’s up Vance! Yeah they’re impossible to find, I think they only sold like 6000 at the time before it was reissued. You need to get a later pressing at least, it’s essential!! 🍻
Cheers Kenny and thanx for the Tid Bits on identifying the first Ramones album. I do have a second pressing but gotta have the first pressing so thank you The Hunt is on and I found one to the exact specs that you mentioned I'm so psyched! Btw i think thats Johnnys index finger first knuckle from his thumb lol
Hi Kenny, great information. I can supplement with one interesting thing. There is a record club pressing of this record, from Columbia Record Club (CRC), thats looks exactly like the first pressing except for one thing: The sleeve is normal size! It has a small CRC-sticker om the back but if you remove that the only difference between the normal stock copy and the CRC-pressing is the size of the sleeve.
Killer video, always coming correct with the information! I passed up what I thought to be a first press quite a while ago, but I wouldn’t have known about the Sire imprint at the time. Regrets, I have a few..
hi i have one of these ramones records its says made in Britain printed in london it says sire but marketed by company called phonogram .. it looks old but im note sure ?? its includes an extra piece of paper thats record size with all the words to the songs .. have you ever seen a British print before ??
Wow awesome!! I’ve listened to both quite a bit but have never done a back to back comparison. I would assume the first sounds better but who knows. Thanks for watching!
I bought my copy in Toronto in the Fall of 1976 after seeing their first Toronto concert and it differs from what you have said in three ways .... 1. on the label, "Blitzkrieg" is misspelled "Blitzkreig" like you said, but "Beat on the Brat" is "Beat on the Brat"; 2. also on the label, the ring at the bottom is replaced by "Distributed by GRT Canada Ltd" in English only; 3. on the back cover, below the Sire logo and info there is a bilingual reference to GRT and an address in Willowdale Ontario. A question.... the album has become unglued at the top.... I've never tried to fix it... any suggestions?
Wow that’s so cool!! I wish I had gotten a chance to see them back then. My first time seeing them wasn’t until 1991. Sounds like you have a Canadian first pressing which is awesome! I don’t think they started making second pressings until 77/78 but I could be wrong! As far as the seen coming apart I’ve always used that childrens stick glue. It’s made for paper and isn’t harsh at all. Goes on purple but dries clear. Maybe try it on a less cherished record just to see the results first! Thanks for watching!!!
I wish I had the Ramones debut album but unfortunately I have nothing to compare here. :/ I do have a few of the subsequent albums though and my End Of The Century is slightly taller than the others. I bet you have a pretty awesome Ramones collection to, eh? ;)
Wow I didn’t know that there was a larger sized end of the century! My collection is pretty decent. I have most of the studio albums except for maybe 3
Hmmm, I think a second press of Rocket to Russia is prob around $25ish and the second press of the first album that I have goes for around $50 on discogs
@@kennysrecordcollection9573 I bought my copy a little before January 10th. I remember the second album came out right after I bought the debut. Mine is a 2nd press. I don’t think many were pressed.
Yes I do.

I’ve got a version where Blitzkrieg is misspelled on the label but Beat On The Brat is correct. But I believe mine is a Portuguese Release.
Nice! Thanks for watching

@@kennysrecordcollection9573 for sure, maybe just not at that same price! Keep up the great videos my man 👍

Thank you for your expertise. My own one has a simple inner sleeve without lyrics. O stingy labels 😒
You’re welcome and thanks for watching!

do you have an email address id like to send you some pistures of my LP ramones ?
I also have the Pittman! Have you compared the sound with the second? Curious if it sounds better.

I knew I had to retire my copy
Mine haven't got the running time of the songs on the back cover or on the record.
Nice that’s an interesting variation!

I definitely don’t have a first pressing. I also don’t have a Ramones record at all so I’m slacking.
I have a couple beaters for you if you want them
