I agree! I just started my second Christmas throw this summer. I like not having the time pressure stressing me out, I just work on it when I feel like it, and can put it down for a while with no anxiety to get it done quick!

In making the Christmas stocking, I think you might want to consider using a red for the heal, toes and top trim sections. The black might take the focus away from the holiday colors.

The folded part at the top of the stocking is called a “cuff”. The red, green, and black does look Christmas! Especially if you add a Christmasy embellishment like a broach on it!! I am going to look into Ice yarns now!
