the Pokémon company will be printing this set year-round. the cards are cool but if this set continues being scalped, I will skip it like I did with 151.
Probably the smart move, but logistically speaking they can't print this set year round, ssp still needs a major reprint, and the next three sets are going to be a whole other level of demand compared to this set.
Id never buy second hand if its over priced. But i will be buying the set where i can. Love all the cards so far. Best set of the era for me next to temporal forces

Definitely an optimist viewpoint, scalpers aren't leaving until hype dies down and sets stop selling over msrp the day of release, imo I don't see them stopping just because the s&v era is over.
Weird, in germany it’s looking a bit different atm. So many people don’t like the set to begin with and the preprders are going for a normal price, under 5€ per booster. Prismatic evolutions on the other hand.. absolutely mind blowing how expensive it is. Just sad.
EBay games in Australia was saying i can pre order pack at $10 per pack plus $3 fee per pack. I laughed straight up.

i don’t buy second hand. if i can’t get it with a preorder or in stock in stores, im not buying it. i can’t justify paying 2x the price on release

The key is to have patience, all of what’s going on right now reminds me of when shining fates and vivid voltage were coming out

Yeah I feel for the players trying to stay competitive, these singles prices are just as insane as sealed prices.
I’ll try to get some but I won’t go out of my way. If I don’t get any it’s all good.

Its a decent trainer set but trainer sets are worth more in japanese by a mile.
Saying it's decent is definitely subjective but yes the japanese market has a stronger interest in sets like this.
