I must confess I'm not very crafty, but I love the stuff you do. Couple of my partners Ted and Ryan over at Nerdarchy are way more crafty than I. I'd end up hot glued to whatever I was trying to make. That being said I believe quite a few of our fans will enjoy what you do so I'm gonna share you video over on the Nerdarchy FB fanpage in case by some off chance there are still some RPG crafters that haven't heard of DM Scotty. 10-2 at 12 pm eastern time is when this video will be shared. Thanks your amazing contribution to the hobby. -Nerdarchist Dave
I used foil to make cave-in debris piles for my last game. I made a loose ball of it and molded it to shape, added a few stones around and on it and cut some toilet brush sponge cubes and gules in place. Turned out really nice. I tried to surprise everyone with a gelatinous cube in that game and as soon as I described it my son and step daughter both knew what it was. Thanks a lot Zelda.
I recently found this channel. I love all the different techniques to make things you present. I watched the tilescapes series already, and am liking 2.5D Next just as much.
Hola here from Tijuana, Mexico. I just started to watch your stuff, veru helpfull and super easy to understard the way you explain things great !! keep going man, we keep watching
He there. I just picked a random video of yours to ask a question and to give thanks for all of the awesome tips. When I clicked on one of your videos I unknowingly opened Pandora's Box. I have been sucking up the info like a sponge. Lol I have never taken popsicle sticks seriously. Now they are an endless lumber yard. Thank you tons. Really. My question is.. Fungus. Mushrooms, swamplands and such. Is that something that you have covered and I missed? If there is an easy way to do it, you are the man that knows.
So glad you enjoy my work. Lots of craft gems in all these vids. Here are some vids to check out: th-cam.com/video/MiFCkp4dS4Y/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/ErZP3DnayLg/w-d-xo.html
I've gotten into crafting my own tiles because of these vids. I'll admit, I'm quite novice. I was wondering if Scotty has any videos about making things like doorways, tables, barrels and other furniture type accessories that can be used whenever. I was just gonna wing it on my own but if there's a vid for it, I'd rather watch and learn.
@@theDMsCraft Thank you. I have a Vehicle Refinishing & Repair Technology degree, wrote a refinishing course, and came up blank on what would actually adhere to the foil. Much appreciated, as are all of your videos!!! Going to be working on graves this weekend and cave terrain.
Just came across your stuff. I love that you make stuff with super cheap materials. Keep it up!
Have fun crafting
You keep making them, Scotty, and I'll keep watching. I really like 2.5 next, but the hybrid of old and new wins on the table.
Old hollywood has all the best terrain tricks :)

+john tailby I agree, foil is quick.

I sure do just search for more DM's Craft vids. I also have playlists.
sadly mine did not come out well at all.... going to try again tonight.
+Vaughn Fletcher This can be a tricky technique. You could always use white glue soaked toilet paper if you have the time to wait for it to dry.
+theDMsCraft I have enough materials so I might just try both and see which works for me better.
how many inches long?
+henrique oliveira 6 inches long.
You passed over this in the video, how did you get your craft paint to stick to the aluminum foil?
Oh, sorry about that. I spray painted the foil with flat black spray paint.

Great work, Oh how much was wasted all those years of paper mâché!
I prefer paper mache but foil is a great time saver.
