Dear Ranjit. I have bought the Nothing Phone 1 after watching this extensive and very well made review. Now I would like to share my experience with you and your subscribers about what happened when I took delivery of the phone yesterday. I have bought the base variant which is 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. I have exchanged my old iPhone 8 64 GB for which Flipkart offered me ₹10500 as exchange price. My iPhone 8 was almost brand new as I hardly used it. The battery was at 93% capacity there were no dents or scratches and the charger, lightening cable and earphones were never used as I used a wireless charger and Bluetooth earphones. The moment the Flipkart delivery person inspected my phone with the box and accessories intact, he called someone and told him about the condition of my iPhone and negotiated a price. He took the phone and handed me the Nothing phone after opening the box and showing the contents inside. After he had left I got the message pick up cancelled and cash paid. This means that he had sold my iPhone 8 at a profit and paid Flipkart the exchange price of ₹10500 in cash.
I think you should have reported this to Fk because 10k is not the actual value price of the phone that you should have got considering the condition you described. I too am planning to buy a phone on exchange and I think after this incident, I will rather pay extra cash and exchange it elsewhere like Cashify.

The only review you need to see. Discussions on small details, software updates, daily use, etc are on point and for someone considering this phone, this will be the most helpful recommendation. Saying this after watching a LOT of other reviews from Indian and foreign channels. As for the glyph interface, I remember when I was in college, I bought a Nokia 3220 simply because it had colorful lights all around that would pulsate based on the ringtones and also light up for notifications. I got it coz it looked cool 😁. Now, am long past that phase.

I liked it initially but now I might just go with the S20FE A more polished experience, even tho a bit old, but flagship processor, and the amazing camera setup, although doesn't look as amazing but, I'm better off with the performance than the inhand feel
@@viviyanvincent4932 I think it'll get the same amount of updates as the standard S20FE release cycle, it'll go till Android 13 only maybe, rest we don't know about it's lifespan
I planning to buy one from these price segment.First option is s20 Fe 5g, but I want to use my next phone for atleast 3 years that's why I concern about software update. Do u know any other phones with best camera and battery in these price segment (Not chineese brands)..?
@@viviyanvincent4932 go with pixel 6A as after lot of so much research i am again convinced to buy pixel 6A its • light weight, compact plastic case is safe to use so its great to have no fear of breaking • performance in coming year will improve only that is the surety which is not there in any phone • Camera works so clasyy amazing • SOT is 6-7 hr atleast • Not much heating issue it may get a little warm if you use so much but its normal as my sister's s22 has that issue • Fingerprint issue is resolved after updates and restarting • True original Android experience moto, nothing, OnePlus are cheap after that • Best 5g phone of 2022 for bands • 60hz is negative aspect but its very smooth and bright can be used not a deal breaker for me And with card offers and exchange you can get price reduced it will be great deal as i am also going to exchange my realme 6 after that it is costing 29k-30k which is a great deal one can have Else you can decide what are your priorities
Battery life for the 256gb 8gb RAM varient is very bad at most you get 5-5.30 hours SOT. Ram management is pretty poor as well the 8gb varient has 5.5-6gb occupied by the system itself. If you want you go for this I'd say go for the 12gb version or skip the phone it's just not as good as its competitors.
8:35 looks like this would become a new norm going forward.. reviewers will always mention whether the device can be unlocked using multiple fingerprints

Perfect review 👍 👍 Hat's of sir ❤️ ✔️Great build quality ✔️Long term software support ✔️Stock Nothing OS ✔️Good camera and decent Chipset That's why I ordered this phone 📱
If this phone had launched without glyph interface and wireless charging then i think cost could have been much lesser on top of that at the prices of 27k or lesser considering they are not giving charger or case then it would be the phone to go for otherwise we have better options at this price range.
I think Nothing Phone would have been great specially in India, had they considered: 1. IP68 rating, charger inside box instead of wireless charging, 2. Screen(max 6.4 inches) with good brightness instead of uniform bezels. 3. Instead of giving many variants it would have been better for them to manage production & save some money even if they fails by launching just one 8GB(RAM) + 256GB variant and priced at 35k.
Used wireless charging on my Hyundai Creta, phone heated up more than it does during wired charging, but not as abnormally as you mentioned. May be an issue with certain wireless chargers.
Hi Ranjit sir! Please make a video about OnePlus's green line display issue. There's this green/purple line issue in OnePlus phones for about 6 months and yesterday it happened to my phone. This issue has been present in all 8 series as well as 9 series of Oneplus's "Flagship" smartphones and most of these users got this green line issue after updating to Android 12. Probably a glitch in the update is causing phone to overheat and that led to this display fault This similar issue was present in S20+ after some software update but samsung is giving free screen replacement for it But OnePlus is shamelessly asking every one of their user who is out of warranty to pay anywhere from 17k to 20k for a display fault caused by their Android 12 software update You'll see thousands of complaints on various platforms like Facebook, reddit, discord and even on Oneplus's own forum complainting about it but OnePlus is turning away their eyes Please make a video about it because we can't let OnePlus get away by using cheap quality display which only lasts the warranty period.
It's a hardware issue, the display needs to be replaced sadly. Even Samsung had that issue on some of the Galaxy S22+ unit, but heard now that Samsung are replacing the screen for free for that issue.
@@geekyranjit I bought my OnePlus 8 pro thinking that I'll use it for 3-4years but just after 1yr 7months it's display failed. This was due to OnePlus's cheap manufacturing, I don't even have a single scratch on my phone and used it with utmost care. And this issue is present is in way too many phones to ignore, i personally see 2-3 posts everyday about this issue on an unofficial OnePlus facebook group. OnePlus should provide free screen replacement just like samsung because it's not a customer's fault which caused the display to fail My trust as a customer in OnePlus has shattered. Please make a video about it if you can and bring this widespread to limelight
I was eagerly waiting for this review because I knew that Nothing phone is being hyped ridiculously. Thanks Sir 👍🏻. I was comparing this phone with pixel device because of stock Android experience. Nothing phone should focus on UI experience because that is only thing which other device in that price range fails to provide.
I think glyph is important even though it's gimmick mostly, they needed something for building brand. However I agree instead of wireless charging they should have bundled a charger or at least given the charger for people who wanted. Also , depending on what it cost to implement, they should have removed the wireless and improve the speakers/give a better display
Hey Ranjit, the quoted bugs in d latest update was there in d previous phone that had d green tinge issue n was replaced, in fact I had many other issues apart from what u highlighted (scary mobile network shutdown). Post replacement, the phone is fantastic. Excellent SOT n smooth performance. Yes, there r few bugs that will get fixed mostly 🤞
Was eagerly waiting for your detailed review and had lots of expectations to clear the doubts regarding nothing phone (1). So here it is. I found this video complete problem solver and assisting in decision making that whether to go for this phone or not. Thank you sir!
Are you going for it? It's kind of mixed bag on OS and few bugs here and there. But UI looks clean and other smartphones at this price range are mostly Chinese brands and i feel this one should edge more on that
this is why i am holding off on this phone. If you want a nothing phone then its better to wait for the second or the third iteration.Nice review btw ranjith sir.
Just watching your full review from my Nothing phone 🙂 with 1.1.2 update. For me the two problem I face is 1. Face unlock is not perfect. It misses to unlock many times. 2. I was using pixel 3 in past which I can operate with one hand. Now I have to use 2 hands most of the time. 😂. I do appreciate Nothing not giving a charger because me and my wife got lot of charger in the past and those stays unused in our home. People who don't trade smart phone will have lot of chargers at home. Currently I'm using my pixel's 18w charger which could charge them in 1 hour 30 minutes. Every day morning I have minimum 40% left, so may be that could be the reason. This is great phone for 33k I paid. Hope it lasts long.. thats all I need. Glyph - my 6 year old kid crazy on it and she want to see it when Nothing camera on. You can take pic of any small kid if Glyph is on. They curously look into that Glyph interface. If you attend meetings in board room it is easy to flip and mute everything. And you can see if your wife or someone important is calling. Glyph is for only one or two important contacts. I wish if they make a Nothing phone mini for one handed users like me with decent battery back up. If it is there, I'll say Nothing is perfect 😎

These type of reviews should be appreciated ☺️
Good review. Truth and no gimmicky stuff. Makes u stand out from others
Don't trim your reviews sir, we want longer reviews like this☺️
Following you from my school life. Now i have completed my masters in 2019. Two things are constant, the quality of video and trust.
Very well detailed review from Geeky Ranjit.
Now waiting for pixel 6a review from you, Sir
14:50.... Classic 🤣👌need guts to say that " what's rubbish" 😂...dear nothing team.. you really need to fix this now . Only a honest reviewer like Ranjit sir can do this..no drama, no overacting... Pure review... Simply enjoy his reviews 👌👍
I liked it initially but now I might just go with the S20FE
A more polished experience, even tho a bit old, but flagship processor, and the amazing camera setup, although doesn't look as amazing but, I'm better off with the performance than the inhand feel
What about software update in s20 Fe 5g..?
@@viviyanvincent4932 I think it'll get the same amount of updates as the standard S20FE release cycle, it'll go till Android 13 only maybe, rest we don't know about it's lifespan
I planning to buy one from these price segment.First option is s20 Fe 5g, but I want to use my next phone for atleast 3 years that's why I concern about software update.
Do u know any other phones with best camera and battery in these price segment (Not chineese brands)..?
@@viviyanvincent4932 go with pixel 6A as after lot of so much research i am again convinced to buy pixel 6A its
• light weight, compact plastic case is safe to use so its great to have no fear of breaking
• performance in coming year will improve only that is the surety which is not there in any phone
• Camera works so clasyy amazing
• SOT is 6-7 hr atleast
• Not much heating issue it may get a little warm if you use so much but its normal as my sister's s22 has that issue
• Fingerprint issue is resolved after updates and restarting
• True original Android experience moto, nothing, OnePlus are cheap after that
• Best 5g phone of 2022 for bands
• 60hz is negative aspect but its very smooth and bright can be used not a deal breaker for me
And with card offers and exchange you can get price reduced it will be great deal as i am also going to exchange my realme 6 after that it is costing 29k-30k which is a great deal one can have
Else you can decide what are your priorities
one of the best technology channel i have in my subscription list
Battery life for the 256gb 8gb RAM varient is very bad at most you get 5-5.30 hours SOT. Ram management is pretty poor as well the 8gb varient has 5.5-6gb occupied by the system itself. If you want you go for this I'd say go for the 12gb version or skip the phone it's just not as good as its competitors.
What the??? This person did a 10 page notes just to make this one video. This is one really hard working person. We love you Ranjith.
8:35 looks like this would become a new norm going forward.. reviewers will always mention whether the device can be unlocked using multiple fingerprints
The video we all have been waiting for.
Great TH-camr.
Excellent review! Initial thoughts: I love the glyph on the back, however as soon as you slap a case on it, it gets covered! :( Maybe companies like Otterbox will create some strong clear cases or at least translucent...
No..there are specific covers for this one and you can see glyph even after protecting it with this cover.
I really appreciate this man ..He never makes biased videos or promotes any brand ..He is just genuine and will tell all the shortcomings that the smartphone having..
Hats off you bro
I can rely on your reviews.
Perfect review 👍 👍
Hat's of sir ❤️
✔️Great build quality
✔️Long term software support
✔️Stock Nothing OS
✔️Good camera and decent Chipset
That's why I ordered this phone 📱
Most trusted Tech TH-camr,thank you sir
It is scary that the third OTA update in Nothing's history has been extremely buggy
The most genuine phone reviewer in the entire youtube who does his job honestly and the only one who I can trust... amazing man amazing.
If this phone had launched without glyph interface and wireless charging then i think cost could have been much lesser on top of that at the prices of 27k or lesser considering they are not giving charger or case then it would be the phone to go for otherwise we have better options at this price range.
Can you suggest some phones under 30?
From RAM (raam) to RAM (rem) you have been the best phone reviewer from last many years. I never buy a phone without watching your review.
I think Nothing Phone would have been great specially in India, had they considered:
1. IP68 rating, charger inside box instead of wireless charging,
2. Screen(max 6.4 inches) with good brightness instead of uniform bezels.
3. Instead of giving many variants it would have been better for them to manage production & save some money even if they fails by launching just one 8GB(RAM) + 256GB variant and priced at 35k.
😂😂😂
Koi bhi mobile k liye m sirf geekyranjit sir ka hi review dekhta hu... Hats off to you sir
33 mins. Ranjit sir is Serious 👀
Brilliant review, covering all points related to the phone. Thanks Ranjit sir
Waiting since very long for this review sir, coz mujhe ye purchase Krna tha and i trust no one except you
❤
What is your decision then, will you buy?
The best TH-cam Tech reviewer, watching since 2011 bought HTC desire X after watching your videos :)
Used wireless charging on my Hyundai Creta, phone heated up more than it does during wired charging, but not as abnormally as you mentioned. May be an issue with certain wireless chargers.
All other tech youtuber are one side and ranjeet in another side..the only unbiased reviewer...thanks ..ranjeet
Probably a glitch in the update is causing phone to overheat and that led to this display fault
This similar issue was present in S20+ after some software update but samsung is giving free screen replacement for it
But OnePlus is shamelessly asking every one of their user who is out of warranty to pay anywhere from 17k to 20k for a display fault caused by their Android 12 software update
You'll see thousands of complaints on various platforms like Facebook, reddit, discord and even on Oneplus's own forum complainting about it but OnePlus is turning away their eyes
Please make a video about it because we can't let OnePlus get away by using cheap quality display which only lasts the warranty period.
It's a hardware issue, the display needs to be replaced sadly. Even Samsung had that issue on
some of the Galaxy S22+ unit, but heard now that Samsung are replacing the screen for free for that issue.
OnePlus should provide free screen replacement just like samsung because it's not a customer's fault which caused the display to fail
My trust as a customer in OnePlus has shattered. Please make a video about it if you can and bring this widespread to limelight
@@geekyranjit Hello Ranjit, How good is Portrait camera in nothing phone.... Looks u missed this point...
Why did none of the users go the consumer forum? Connect with such users facing the issue, make a team and Sue them bro!
My 7t also stuck in widevine l3 license after updating to Android 11. 😑
Ranjit sir is just amazing...
I think glyph is important even though it's gimmick mostly, they needed something for building brand.
However I agree instead of wireless charging they should have bundled a charger or at least given the charger for people who wanted. Also , depending on what it cost to implement, they should have removed the wireless and improve the speakers/give a better display
More such long reviews please. Thank you kind sir.
All other consumer technology channels should take notes. This is how it should be done.
Finally this is the review I was waiting for the Nothing phone....thanks Ranjit sir 👏👏👏
Best review and genuine I feel ,beeboom also post good reviews , only you two are genuine I really feel.
Hello Sir! The bugs you have mentioning about were being resolved in update that was released on Sept 17, 2022?
This is man is amazing and his reviews are the best...No other can compete with him....keep up the good work man..
This is the most awaited and genuine review in youtube community.
May i know What is your review rate for this phone out of 10 ?
Hey Ranjit, the quoted bugs in d latest update was there in d previous phone that had d green tinge issue n was replaced, in fact I had many other issues apart from what u highlighted (scary mobile network shutdown). Post replacement, the phone is fantastic. Excellent SOT n smooth performance. Yes, there r few bugs that will get fixed mostly 🤞
Salute to u honestly...haven't bought a single device without watching ur review of it
The only reviewer I would listen to!
A great proper review indeed. Not like other youtubers who just show 10 min of unboxing and all general things that company has mentioned.
But UI looks clean and other smartphones at this price range are mostly Chinese brands and i feel this one should edge more on that
Your dedication at your work is at diffrent lavel.
Your review is "pure gold". Your simplicity is your "swag". Superb👍👍
this is why i am holding off on this phone. If you want a nothing phone then its better to wait for the second or the third iteration.Nice review btw ranjith sir.
One more well made detailed review. Great work
Perfectionist At Work...Hats off the work👏
The best reviewer for wot i wait for ! ❤️ geekygang !
This channel is so underrated.. need to subscription
excellent review..It's help alot..Thanks sir..
Really it awesome some TH-camrs advertising and telling lie to people but u r great . telling the truth to people 🙏❤️
Wow, kudos for your effort, this is quite thorough
OMG...you are so thorough!! Kudos
One of the reason to watch him is, pure review only and no BS like other youtubers.
Itna satik aur sahi review kahi nahi dekha boss 😎👍
Hey Ranjit Sir , Thanks for this honest & detailed review.
Always appreciate your efforts and frank feedback. 👏
