I find it funny how the Ego core was put into that situation. The more I think about it, the more I realize he's probably one of the only cores in the entire facility who wouldn't mentally break at the idea that there's more than one of him, for the sole reason that he's too busy marveling at how perfect he and himself is.
Aperture Science has interesting ways of... bugproofing their tech.
Purpose Core exploding when he discovered his purpose was intentional.
That sounds like how Wheatley survived a paradox because he was to stupid to understand it
I thought it was some sort of fever dream or that the Ego core "died".
@@Ezra4170 or he installed an audio check system to prevent that sort of thing, he’s made to make bad decisions, not dumb ones, he probably only installed it in the outer audio receivers or some shiz.

Fun fact: The purple gel called” adhesion gel” was supposed to be in the game, but the game testers became nauseous, so they removed it.

That purple gel is a reference to an early concept for a 3rd gel in portal 2, which was scrapped because walking on walls and ceilings made test players get nauseated
weird, I remember a mod for portal 1 that added that functionality before portal 2 came up with gels

I think my favourite part is that, rather than the Ego Core Clones infighting or something to see who's the best, they all just recognise each others' bestness

Fun fact: the entire thing about the purple gel is actually intended to add into the game by valve but player complain about nausea so it was scrapped.
The turret core is also a scrapped idea, it wouldn’t have looked exactly like that but it was an idea

My theory for the “cloning” machine:
It doesn’t actually clone the core, it copies their built-in personality and places it into a fresh, unused core from the warehouse shown in the previous video, since it is theoretically impossible for an object to create a perfect replica one in itself.
They're able to master quantum portal technology, multiverse gateways, and harness an energy that makes up 60% of the universe (Dark Energy). Cloning is actually not impossible for Aperture to do
