Thank you soooo very much. I purchased this trimmer a week ago. I could Not cut to the end of a 12X12 sheet because of the scorning blade. For 5 days I’ve been trying to figure out how to take it off without breaking the trimmer. You are a life saver and a trimmer saver😄

After 2 months of thinking something was wrong because why wouldn't a trimmer that is a little over 12" cut 12" paper all the way to the end, I knew the tools had to be removable....I bought replacement blades for goodness sake ...I noticed the notch right away but after 30 frustrating minutes of moving the scoring blade back and forth and lifting the front I couldn't feel the notch....how did we ever survive without TH-cam 20 years ago. I'm sure there are less broken things and less ER visits because of this platform. Thank you so much for sharing. I was about to just go buy another one because who doesn't need 5 different trimmers 12" wide all with dull blades. 😂

Hi so can this cutter cut the silkscreen?
Hi! Yes. I buy my mesh in 3-yard lengths through Amazon. When it comes, I cut it all up in the size I need to make the silk screen stencils. I do use a rotary cutter from my Cricut machine to cut off the edges as I find it easier that way. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

What's the scoring tool used for
@Christina George the scoring tool is to score or 'imprint' a line on thicker paper like cardstock. When folding the cardstock on that line, it will fold sharply. It doesn't cut the paper, just makes an imprinted line that you can feel. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching! ☺
Mine refuses to come out no matter how hard I "push upward" on the blade handle like it says on the package. It fits into the notch and then just refuses to move. SO frustrating
Sounds defective. If it's beyond the time you can take it for a refund, I would call the company directly. I would think they would replace it still. Thanks for commenting Jamie.
Mine didn't want to budge either! I was about to break it. But today I demonstrated to my husband how it wasn't working, asking for help, and all of a sudden, it did work and came off. 😒

Am I the only one who has watched this tute like 5x and tried to mimic the process and couldn't get the blade off? I see the notch, but when I try to lift the blade it doesn't budge. I just bought it and I feel like I've already put a year's worth of wear and tear on it just trying to get that blade off! I appreciate the video, but man that thing doesn't want to come off!
So very sorry to hear about your frustration. It should pop off quite easily. If it doesn't, I would assume it's faulty. I would certainly call their customer service. I found their # through a search: 1-800-835-2263. Hope that helps!
@@wecookiers - thanks a bunch. Yeah, I've tried a bunch of times since with no luck. I wonder if something inside the cutting blade area isn't glued or attached correctly, causing it to not come back off without headaches. Dunno. I appreciate the number!

What the heck is that dang thing for ? I was so made, and then I, too, found the notch. But it's totally in the way, and that makes no sense to me.
One use for the scoring tool is to take card stalk and run the tool over it so it will bend with a nice crease, like a birthday card. I'm sure it's handy for some, I just don't use it, so yes, it was in my way too. But at least it is easy to pop on and off once you understand how!
Its a wonder that none off us broke the darn thing ! Such a silly piece anyways.
