- She embraced Islam despite her father being a chief antagonist and migrated to Abyssinia where she would be widowed and await some sort of sign of what was to come. That sign came through a dream that would result in the most unique wedding in the Seerah.

subhanallah im actually from abyssinia (ethiopia) allhamdudillah allah blessed me with a country that was there during islam and even had our king an-najashi may allah have mercy on all of the first muslim ethiopians and bless every single last one of us ameen=)

Narrated/Authority of our mother Umm Habibah
that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "As for him who prays four (rakat) before zuhr and four after it, Allah forbids fire to touch him." [Ahmed 26833, Abu Dawud 1269, Ibn e Majah 1160, Nisai 1816]
This is the evidence of praying 4rakah before Zohr as Ahnaf do.

Subhan'Allah, the beauty of Islam, even marriage can be done in easy ways, no hardship in our Islam Alhamdulillah!!! While halal is easy, unfortunately, some of us Create unlawful bond, and communicate back and forth, that doesn't please Allah SWT at all(أَلَمۡ یَعۡلَم بِأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ یَرَىٰ), but not too late either to repent, Allah is the most forgiving, and he's always be pleased to whom returns sooner!!! I do agree with Sheikh Omar point about the story of Um Habiba's first husband being problematic since the narration has not been scrutinize. The narration seems to indicate that Um Habiba's husband left Islam because his love of Alcohol. Is it not the case that the prohibition of alcohol occured in Medina and the narration is referencing a setting earlier than the Hijra to Medina?
Last February, 2020 I happened to visit Makkatul Mukarrama to perform Umra, I came across some beggars believed to be Abyssinians/Habshi with cut legs and hands __ Prompted me ask: why Saudi Govt seems so negligent to take care of them? Having regard to Nahashi king? Am I right?

Banu umaiya is the tribe of Ramla
Her father is the most powerful man if this tribe Abu sufian
Her mother Safia bnt abil - as (Aunty of Othman ibn affan)
Safia passed away before islam
Ummu habiba was the only child of safiya and Abu sufian
Abu sufian had other wife Hindu bnt hutba paid wakshy to hurt Hamza on the war ,
Other kids of Abu sufian Muhawiya and Yazid
Abu sufian was the biggest opponent of prophet Muhammad
The second person to accept islam from banu umaiya tribe is Ummu habiba
Abu sufian didnt go to Badr where most of them died , so after many opponents died he was the elder who left behind after badr
Ramla was married to Ubaid la ibn jash (brother of Zainab bnt jash)
Ummu habiba embraced islam early on this made Abu sufian to have soft spot to muslim and those who converted to islam because his own kid already early converted to islam
Ubaid belong to the group of 4 who abonded ideology before prophet
-Waraqa ibb naufan
-Zaid ibn amr
-Othman ibn huweirith
-Ubaid ibn jash
Ubaid and Ummu habiba accepts islam and Abu sufian was not happy about it
Ubaid and Ummu habiba migrated to abisinia from Makka they didnt bear presecution that they experienced in makka
By this time Ummu habiba was pregnant
Habiba was born in abisinia
One day Ummu habiba had a bad dream concerning his husband as soon after that dream she came to know that her husband went back to christianity because he missed drinking alcohol and islam didnt allow alcohol and he died as a drunkard
She was so sad she had no relative in abisinia and she cant go back to makka and her husband has already changed his deen
She had a dream again a voice calling her "ummul muuminina" mother of the believers
As soon has she had that dream a knock came on her door
The prophet knew the difficult that ummu habiba was going through so he sends An najashy
Sends a letter to ummu habiba to propose to ummu habiba
He appointed najash as a representer of that issue (wakil)
An najashi send a servant girl called Abraha
When Abraha reached to Ummu habiba and told her abt the proposal she was very happy to the point that she removed her jewelley that was on her hand and gave to abraha
Ceremony was on an najashy's house /palace
An najshy released his guards and allowed muslim to enter his house for the wedding
Someone had to marry on behalf of the prophet
400 gold dinar mahari (70 thousand dollars) of Ummu habiba
Waliy of Ummu habiba was Khalid ibn Said
Najsh said on the palace the following words
Ramla amezaliwa mwaka 595 hapo ni kabla ya mtume kutangazwa au kutambulika kama mtume
Ametokea kabila la Banu umaiya
Baba yake ni Abu sufian mmoja wa maadui wakubwa wa mtume Muhammad
Baba yake alikua mtu mwenye nguvu katika kabila la banu umaiya
Mama yake alikua akiiywa Safia bnt Abil (Huyu ni Shangazi yake Othman ibn affan)
Ikumbukwe othman ibn affan ndiye mtu wa kwanza katika kabila la banu umaiya kuukubali uislam
Kisha Ramla (Ummu habiba) alikua mtu wa pili katika kabila lao kuukubali uislam
Mama yake na Ummu habiba alifariki kabla ya uislam/ kabla ya dini ya kiislam
Ummu habiba alikua mtoto wa pekee wa sfia japo Abu sufian alikua na watoto wengine kwa wake zake wengine mfano Muhawiya na Yazid
Abu sufian hakushiriki vita vya badr , vita hivyo viliwaua wapinzani wengi wa Mtume tena wakubwa hivyo viongozi wengi wa kuupinga uislam walifariki katika vita hiyo na ikapelekea Abu sufian kubakia kama kiongozi mkuu
Alikua laini kwa waislam au watu wanaoslimu sababu akitizama nyumbani kwake binti yake Ramla amekua muislam hivyo aliona haya kuwa katili kwa waislam
Ramla aliolewa na Ubaid ibn Jash (Ubaid ni kaka yake Zainab bint jash)
Waislam walipohamia Abisinia Ramla na mumewe wakahama pia kuepuka ukatili waliokuwa wakifanyiwa waislam kipindi hiko huko makka
Wakat huu wanahamia Abisinia , Ramla (ummu habiba) alikua mjamzito wa mimba ya habiba
Baada ya kipindi kupita mume wa ummu habiba alibadili dini akawa mkristo ili awe huru kunywa pombe sababu dini ya usilam ilikataza pombe
Ummu habiba alikua na wakat mgumu maana ililazimu aachane na mumewe ukizingatia kule waliko abisinia hana ndugu na kurudi makka kwa baba yake hawez sababu baba hataki dini ya kiislam kwahiyo akawa mpweke
Usiku mmoja akaota sauti ikimwambia (Ewe mama wa waumini) akashtuka sana sababu jina hilo huitwa wake wa mtume
Mtume Muhammad aliposikia magumu anayopitia Ummu habiba akamtuma Najash ampelekee umu habiba barua ya posa
Najash alifurahi kusimama kama wakili au muwakilishi wa mtume Muhammad
Akamuagiza mtumwa wake kiitwa Abraha aende kwa Ummu habiba kupeleka taarifa ya posa
Ummuhabiba aliposikia habari njema ya kuposwa na Mtume basi alifurahi sana kiasi cha kuvua baangili alizokua amevaa mkononi na kumvisha Abraha kama zawadi kwa kuwa ameleta taarifa njema
Najash aliandaa sherehe katika kasri lake na upande wa Ummuhabiba alisimama khalid ibn Said kama muwakilishi
Mahari ya Ummu habiba ilikua Dinar 400 za dhahabu ambayo kwa leo ni sawa na dollar elf 70
Baada ya ndoa kufungwa Ummu habiba aliendelea kuishi abisinia akisubiri kufatwa au kuchukuliwa na mumewe , Mtume alimsubirisha kwa miaka 6 ndipo walipo onana kwa mara ya kwanza tangu kufungwa kwa ndoa (kwenye kuoa Mtume aliwakilisha hakuwepo kwenye tukio)
Na aliishi na mtume Muhammad kwa miaka 3 tu tangu waoane kisha Mtume alifariki baada ya hiyo miaka 3
Baba yake Ramla alikua adui wa Mtume lakini aliposikia binti yake ameolewa na Mtume Muhammad alifurahi sana akasema " ameolewa na mtu mwema mzuri wa tabia asingepata mume bora kuliko Muhammad"
Abraha na Ramla wakiwa abisinia waliunda urafiki yeye Abraha akiwa na kijakazi wa Najash au mtumwa, siku moja abraha akamwambia Ummu habiba "siku utakayo onana na mtume mpe salamu mwambie namsalimia"
Baada ya miaka 6 ummu habiba anaonana na Mtume akakumbuka alichoambiwa na Abraha , Mtume alifurahi kupokea salamu kutoka kwa abraha nae akamrejeshea salamu hiyo na kumtakia amani
Why did it take 6 years to reunite?
Isn't Abu Sufyan from Banu Abd shams ?
