I was making a killing dropshipping on Walmart, but my store was suspended for violation of terms of service. I think people should also know that if you want to build and scale an honest business for the long term, cherry picking from other retailers is not the way to do it. I think alot of new people dont know the difference between dropshipping and wholesale dropshipping. Glad you're teaching them the right way. Thanks for the content!
Each business is different but I would say the average margins are between 10-20%. I made the choice in my business about a year ago to only focus on niche suppliers so that I can have higher margins at the cost of demand for my items. For example, I sell lighting and home decor items that have a BSR of 150,000 but I have margins around 35%.

I am not gonna go overboard but i wanna dropship some items for the holiday season do i need to be careful that they might flag me if i sell a lot? What is the threshold that i want to stay below as far as sales and listings?
Yes, you can start dropshipping. I recommend using wholesale suppliers for your account. In terms of how you want to scale, you want to gradually grow sales. So for the first month 3k, then for the second month it will be 6k etc.

I think it's more sustainable on Amazon as you still have more control of your business there. The amount of money you would need depends on how much you sell. If you want to scale faster, I would recommend at least having 1-2k. You can make it work with less, you will just have to sell less product.

Thank you and congrats. No need to create a store, your products will automatically show up once you list them.
Do you also have to get the EIN and everything after if you open up as a sole proprietor?

For long term private label opportunities and brand building, I go to GS1. For one off listings I go to barcode mania.
Yes. You can get GTIN exemption but otherwise you will need an item identifier.

Wholesale dropshipping means you are just sourcing from a wholesale supplier.
Do you need any of your own money to drop ship? Or can you do this without spending anything?
You will need a credit or debit card in order to pay for the item while Amazon holds your funds.
