Thoroughly while evaluating all this why aren’t we counting one fact that India’s balance of payment was favourable even till 1947 when British left. So 25% of world, GDP, drain of so much of wealth etc seem to be merely conjuncture based on factually incorrect misplaced idea. When concept or calculation of GDP was not available.
The only drawback of British rule was divide and rule policy. They ensured Indian society to be broken in every way. They misused historical facts tilted and depicted Indian history to break Indian society in religions, cast language and cultural basis.
