Mad woman arrested on the Kennet and Avon she was observed trying to walk on water with an offensive weapon in her hand. When arrested she said i was only closing a lock gate, and i always keep one of these in my handbag. You started this journey with a gorgeous boat and home, now you reach the point of no return just over half way, ( our prayers are with you ). Would it have been any easier in a narrow boat, or would the length still be a problem on this journey. I honestly thought your camera had frozen when you got stuck in the swing bridge . Keep smiling i can't wait for the next part.
Haha that made us chuckle 🤭 Could have definitely been that mad woman! Think with the flow it might have been just as bad with a Narrowboat but then we would have more clearance. Glad you enjoyed it 😁

As much as the K & A is a widebeam canal for old coal barges , we wont be following and wrecking our boat , we'll stay on The Thames😢 I think I'd be turning round and coming off again 😮

Oh wow … you chose a particularly bad day for travelling all that rain … was the canal designated red … we have done that stretch several times on on green status is much much calmer no water coming over the gate tops and Fobney 105 no water on the walkway .. it looked terribly scary I must say .. How did the window get pushed out and hope it’s all sorted now .. thankfully Bailey all good too x Don’t give up the best is yet to come I’m sure you know that now .. unfortunately if you are the max width you are going to get scrapes it’s what the sacrificial strips for .. a blacking and a touch up and all sorted .. Can’t wait to see part 2 .. onwards and upwards xx

I Would Love To Live/Travel Full Time In A Moveable Off-Grid 150 Person Enclosed Liveaboard Lifeboat Bunker Tiny Home Built Inside Of A Extreme Overlander RV Tank Boat With A Good Bookroom/Bathroom/Bedroom/A Place To Store My Food/POP/Water/Clothes and An Indoor Playground For Use When Stopped In Really Bad Weather/Traffic and I Would Also Add CCTV To Look Out For Really Bad People/Zombies and Storms This Way I Can Travel In Safety and Without The Fear OR Worry Of Being Robbed By Getting Away Form The Big City's In The USA/Mexico and Canada + I Love YA TH-cam A Lot
Love widebeams for the extra space but how difficult is it to find a mooring on a busy canal like the Kennett and Avon? Do you have winter mooring/ marina?
Hi 👋🏻 the difficulty is more about how overgrown some of the towpath is, rather than size, as even though we’re wider we’re still the same length as most narrowboats. We also have a mooring in Newbury Marina 😁
Hi guys, wow, what a disaster; if it had been me, I would have thrown the towel in; I hope things got better. But you know the old saying stiff upper lip old chap.
I mean come on... who really wants to live like this? All those horrible locks and the bad weather... If you're going to live on a boat it should be in a better climate, not England where you're constantly battling bad weather, cold, wind & rain etc... I think there's a massive trend & fashion to live on a boat but it's utterly hopeless in reality. This applies to any boat channels and they are many... good luck 😁😰
Luckily this isn’t the normal case for us, we wouldn’t normally move in these conditions but we had a deadline and this years rainfall has been unusually high! 🙈 it can be a great way of life but as you say it’s not always sunshine and roses! 😅😊
