I think people need to understand the context of what Sis Tope said. For me, the only thing that was wrong was for her not to have reached out directly to her rather than going public. To put what she was saying in context, she was referring to the eternal God head. She did not infer that God does not have a role in her life. She simply said that Jesus is our advocate before the father, that Jesus, God the son should be the one standing for us before God the father. She was just saying that God is the ultimate, will God be standing for you before Himself, that was the context she was speaking from. She has not denied God. I think people need to understand the context of what Sis Tope said.
For me, the only thing that was wrong was for her not to have reached out directly to her rather than going public.
To put what she was saying in context, she was referring to the eternal God head. She did not infer that God does not have a role in her life. She simply said that Jesus is our advocate before the father, that Jesus, God the son should be the one standing for us before God the father. She was just saying that God is the ultimate, will God be standing for you before Himself, that was the context she was speaking from. She has not denied God.
But also that does not mean God cannot stand for you when you are being confronted by evil forces or wicked men. She only reasoned this from eternal Godhead angle that is before God and not before men. Except, may be the approach she used.
May God uphold both of them and continue to guide and lead them according to his spirit. You are all instruments of His praise.
If she thinks that phrase (Oniduro) is not right what she suppose to do is to call the composer and counsel with her as a spiritual mentor and as a professional. I always sing the song in diverse ways like ONITOJU MI, IRANLOWO MI, ATILEYIN MI AND many more,, sometimes our good intentions if not well managed can lead us to trouble, I see traces of pride in Aunty Tope Alabi's so called corrections. Let her learn how to handle corrections with more humility and divine wisdom. Calling Adeyinka personally and encouraging her to rewrite, resung/resing that song would have gone a long way instead of using that platform, such correction will never work.
