0:36 to 0:50 boards covering the not-yet-open tunnel to Wilson Yard. Crossover track from (present) NB to SB mainline now continues straight into the new tunnel
This is good, because I miss riding that line as a kid. With the new trains, you can no longer look out the front or rear windows

I miss it.
Many years ago, I was sitting in the front of a TTC subway train, looking out the front window, when a guy killed himself by jumping in front at Islington station. The driver came out of the cab as white as a sheet. Next thing you know, we all were forced to go upstairs. About 20 min later, we could go down and hop into another train and move on. I waited on the platform for the train to leave, and sure enough, there was a large patch of sawdust on the tracks, some of which was "discolored". A sad end for someone.
Sad Story
Some of us have major chronic depression and in Toronto this is an effective way to go.
I remember when the T1's operated on Line 1 and in 2015, they are exclusive to Line 2. There were only a few times they had to operate on Line 1 due to problems at Wilson Yard or some other major delay.....

And for a few months in 2017, the TRs ran on the Bloor-Danforth line aka line 2
@@joelsterling1445 it was in 2016 actually. I spotted a TR on line 2 sometime in 2019 at High Park.
I like these station announcements more than the text-to-speech ones from the Toronto Rockets.

Wow, I was IN Dundas station when this train came by. Which is EXTREMELY unlikely since I don't live in Toronto and we don visit often. Wow.

Yeah, it's so sad that they had to change the name.
@@finalhawkeye I think they changed the name because one of the new stops is called Downsview Park so I guess to make it less confusing they change the name of Downsview to Sheppard-West

BTW: do you know the difference between the round tunnels and the square ones? The square ones were built as open trenches which were covered then buried. The round tunnels were cut underground by a boring machine.

Small problem, they replaced all the trains on this route and you can’t see out the back on this route anymore

They should add an infill station between Eglinton West (Cedarvale) to St. Clair West.
Your right because it’s between eglinton west and st clair west so it supposedly to be cedarvale

will require platform edge doors (installed by *work release inmates under armed guard)

Sheppard-Yonge and Kennedy can also get pretty busy.

What does the double red with flashing white on the bottom mean ? On the approach to the last station,, a double red was crossed after a white ( yellow ? ) flashing on the bottom..Is subway signaling standard ? Because over here , the same system is used, but i´ve seen other countries wich is very different.. and from what i´ve seen, they´re very different from surface railways.. someone answer please ?
If you meant 1:00:25, that flashing yellow at the bottom refers to a call-on light. You are permitted to proceed with extreme caution as you are approaching a crossover where the track switches are not yet set up in your favour. You would then stop at the next signal until the tracks are set up for you to enter the platform.
@@hnkul702 Also, a double red with the top light flashing can be passed at extreme slow speed. Although, it should turn favourable before you pass it.
@@brianmcdonald6519 That would be just a grade timing signal, wouldn't it? It's only red because it's on a timer before the signal itself clears?

SCP Productions so have I but I wonder why it’s not been fully implemented
chipette I think it’s because they don’t support the old signal system that T1s run on expect I pretty sure The Tr ( Toronto rocket ) can use the old old signal system so I don’t know why
@@devvydoesstuff I think eventually they will run on line 2, but not for awhile. If you do see them on line 2, it will be for a specific reason.

At the beginning of the video (Sheppard West to Union) he's going southbound. As soon as he reaches Union, he's going northbound on the Yonge portion of Line 1.
Going Southbound on the line... from Union becomes north
