Bassnectar is unlike any other artist/producer out there. Nobody can touch him. His songs are absolutely genius. Think about if there was a storm, and the raindrops were colorful. This song would fit perfectly with that scene. Not only does he make good music, but he puts stories in your head with his music. Mad respect man!
I love Bassnectar... Sincerely has changed my music perspective since he has been releasing albums. One of the best live performances I've ever experienced. I recommend everyone go see him live in as small a setting as possible.
I can't listen to a single Bassnectar song without getting the heebee geebies. Thanks Bassnectar, for creating awesome music that delivers energy like no other. But most of all, thanks for being so appreciative of your fans. Too many artists nowadays ride around on their high horses. You, on the other hand, recognize your fans and walk around on the ground with us. I can't wait to see you at Spring Awakening this year, and I know I'm not the only one.
+zodiac909 i would be shocked if bassnectar was actually channeling Blink 182 during the time he was making this track or any track in this matter, but who knows!
@outdoorfunhaver Kind like neither of them. Just because theres a vaguely familiar rock tune throughout the song doesn't mean its reminiscent or inspired by blink-182. Thats just my opinion. Art is just art sometimes and no offense but this is far more beautiful and powerful than any rock song I ever heard imo. and I love me a good rock song. I feel like its disrepectful to compare someones art to someone else especially if the work itself stands on its own like this track does.
I think I made the right choice. Without Skrillex, I would not have ever discovered deadmau5, Daft Punk, Kill The Noise, Griz, Monstercat, Bassnectar, Krewella, Headhunterz, Excision, Datsik, Downlink, Diplo, The Glitch Mob, ill.Gates, Terravita, Xilent, KOAN Sound, Flux Pavilion, Knife Party, Pendulum, Basically any Electronic Music artist. It all started with me creating a Skrillex Radio on Pandora, and thus expanding and turning into a huge part of my life. So thank you Skrillex, for opening the door to electronic music for me.
+Freddie Longshore-Neate I had a very similar experience. I remeber around 2010/2011, when dubstep got really popular, and leading the genre was Skrillex, I always used to come home and listen to the Bangarang album, wondering how I hadn't found this music before. But within a few months I transitioned into liking more classic techno, and old school hardstyle. DJ Splash, East Clubbers, DJ Bjra, and especially Showtek. But then I stumbled upon "MF Point of Perfection" by Headhunterz. It is probably the greatest dubstyle (Dubstep & Hardstyle) song (in my opinion) of all time. I then fell in love with melodic and more recent hardstyle. This continued for around 2-3 years up until 2015, when I expanded my horizons once again, when I heard "You & Me" in a gaming youtube video. This song changed my life. I absolutely fell in love with Bassnectar. I love nearly every song he puts out, and I, again, don't know how I hadn't heard of Bassnectar before this past year! Thing is, I can stem all of this back to Skrillex. Thank you for taking over the internet in 2010/2011.
I'm actually not super into dubstep, but The Glitch Mob and Pendulum (the DnB stuff) totally strike my chords. Do you have any recommendations amongst your list as of which to listen into?
***** The Glitch Mob did a collab with Lo for his latest album Unlimited, the song's called Paracosm, and it's pretty good. Another good Glitch Mob song is The Beauty of the Unhidden Heart. Both are magical songs.
Jack Oh, I do know most newer Glitch Mob songs. Got the album Unhidden Heart was on...Mind of a Beast has burnt itself into my mind especially. At least I think this was the same album. I was more like wondering if you could recommend something similar to it, I never really found a sound like TGM and/or Pendulum again, it all seems so generic next to those.
Why on earth is this a free release? I'd happily pay €2 on Beatport for this. This track is something special, something unique. I have been into dubstep for almost 2 years and I have never heard something as unique, motivating, relaxing and uplifting as Colorstorm is. You deserve all the credits you can get, Bassnectar. Good job man.
Lorin is simply an artist, just like all of us that attend events graced by his amazing art & where creativity is celebrated. He's actually quite tame for the San Fran crowd :) ...keep it up, Lo
Allow me to just say that there have been many occurrences where the wrong artist/entertainer earned an award (i.e., where's DiCaprio's?). Skrillex has earned the most awards, but that's because once you win one big one, the rest just start coming in. He presented his work, got a lot of attention, got lucky, and made it big. Granted, if it wasn't for him, most people wouldn't know what Dubstep is, but none of that makes him the best. He just happens to be the one in the spotlight.
Whoa, holy shit I can’t believe I’ve slept on Bassnectar for so long, every time I think I’ve found his best song I find another contender, wish someone told me how epic his music is.
@@rashleonard4069 Wasn’t he discovered to be a pedo or something? I keep hearing about grooming accusations but I can never seem to find any information about it. What a fucking bastard
Thats what I think made me fall in love with underwater, it gives off the illusion of actually being underwater, like you can see the bubbles rising infront of yourselfm kinda thing, underwater is probably one of my favourite electronic songs.
Mom: Son, I heard you were with friends Son: yes... Mom: well I heard that you were smoking dubstep... Son: How dare you acuse of such things?! Mom: Lets be serious, you like to listen to weed
He is actually a breakbeat artist, yet used to dj psytrance back in sf at underground events, then moved to west coast acid breaks and all his friends from SF started to call him Assnectar because he left the psytrance movement. In 2009 he released Cozza Frenzy, the first dubstep he actually released. Now, he is solely a dubstep/dnb/drumstep artist. But I would have to say that dnb is more of an influence of his than actually the genre that he produces.
no skrillex simply did what everyone dreams of doing, which is to become known and famous around the world. He's banking off modern music styles and trends, making friends with other non-dub artists and becoming big. I'd call him mainstream but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Just followed his dreams and now he is one of the best known artists in the industry.
loooooool oh. I've been spending most of my time improving my sound and learning new things along the way! so when i come back, hopefully i'll have some great tunes
@Destroyanddominate1 no the version on the mixtape is incomplete, and is about 5 min before it fades into above and beyond. heard this for the first time at bass island and i didnt know what to do with myself. one of my all time favorite songs right here.
This song will always bring me nostalgia
360 NYE BIRMINGSLAM BALL DROP
yes, im glad this was, and still is, a part of my life that brings me memories from past
absolutely amazing. banging visual recognition networks to this, what a blast.

kind of crazy that this song isnt way more popular than it is. this is the kind of music that moves people
Eden Beaver all of Bassnectar does that
This song is SICK! My new favorite Bassnectar song. Got to see him live recently and he blew me away. AMAZING
I love Bassnectar... Sincerely has changed my music perspective since he has been releasing albums. One of the best live performances I've ever experienced. I recommend everyone go see him live in as small a setting as possible.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard, this is amazing.
he is by far one of the best so is pretty lights both of them paint stories within their songs describing each sound with an emotion
I can't listen to a single Bassnectar song without getting the heebee geebies.

Bassnectar's music is not only so incredibly powerful, but the message he spreads is as well..
When it hits..... unbelievable
Oh man you can just feel that Blink-182 inspiration and early 2000's punk rock vibe from this song. Sure brings me back a few years!
+zodiac909 i would be shocked if bassnectar was actually channeling Blink 182 during the time he was making this track or any track in this matter, but who knows!
smashing pumpkins
Kinda like foo fighters imo but your on point with blink 182
@outdoorfunhaver Kind like neither of them. Just because theres a vaguely familiar rock tune throughout the song doesn't mean its reminiscent or inspired by blink-182. Thats just my opinion. best electronic producer to ever live you can actually FEEL his music unlike 99% of others
One of the greatest Dubstep dongs ever, needs more recognition.
This song is so chill... Dude thank you for this!
One of the first songs I listened to by Bassnectar!
Lorin you never seize to amaze me, this is why bassnectar is always number one in my book, has been since day one
This song puts me in such a trance. Always makes me feel good about life.
Holy fuck this is amazing
Man I’ll never forget lorin dropping this at red rocks and the rocks started dancing 🕺
We love you, nectar
I can't get enough of this. Simply amazing.
Thank you
Amazing show in Nashville!!! Life changing. Thanks to you I will never enjoy another rock or country concert again.

The Sangson two of the guys from Pendulum are Knife Party. Listen to Pretty Lights too. He is killer!!
This song is amazing. Inspires a lot of feelings.
live is the key to his extreme success. His recordings are awesome but when we runs a set he explodes my mind. Seen him 5 times since like 2006
This beat is great and I hope he continues to make more like it.

Okay...this is pretty damn cool.
Casual Astronauts Agreed.
GrahamJames Kaplan So true. In a league of his own for ever.

@L4DFRED DubStep still is a drug, and imho the best of all!
Didn't like it at first but the more I listened I loved it :)
