- Some residents of Rome, New York lost everything in what the National Weather Service is describing as the worst tornado to hit Oneida County in at least 30 years.

Wow! I always like visiting the Upper New York State region. I am downstate but the Catskills region has always been my go-to place to relax. I am so sorry for your loss, Pets are family to me. i live 10 minutes away from here (maybe even less) and i was home alone with my animals. it wasnt that bad were i was but very rainy and windy. But sadly my friend had trees fall on her house and her parents car. sending prayers to the south of rome 🙏
I was in this tornado but when it hit my house it was an ef 1 and lots of trees were knocked down and one fell on my pool and destroyed it and after it my neighbor hood was a mess

Yea, I immediately thought they meant Rome Italy!!!! I was actually watching the radar when this was happening, but forgot I had seen the town of ‘Rome’ NY in the path. I was wondering if the Vatican got hit!!!😂
a friend of mine watched that thing go past her house down her road as she was running to get down in her cellar with her 13yr old son. they were unharmed thank God...but it missed their house by FEET. 😳

Shoulda got some shot of the corner of henry and maddison. The first ladys damagex5. My house rattled and shook for almost a minute. I couldnt open my door i had 3 different roofs stacked agaisnt my house and in my yard. I removed about 200 pinds of roofing from the drain in the road while standin in almost 10 inches of water. Noone on on henry between maddison and jay street could move wothout a chainsaw. Sorry but you guys missed some of the worst destruction caused by this tornado for your news story.

The weather was hunting for a mobile home park and it couldn't find one and it saw that RV and said well that's as close to trailers I can find and so it Formed itself into a tornado and went after the RV.
