That tornado was easily far stronger than 135 mph. From the way it wrecked First Presbyterian church (a concrete building) and St. Mary church (a brick and concrete building), I'd say the tornado had winds closer to 225 mph, which is an F-4 on the original Fujita scale and an EF-5 on the enhanced scale.
I was supposed to be wroking in Rome that day but my whole week is out of sync because I had a migraine Monday. That mural has been up for probably 20 years and was beautiful. Its shocking to see a brick building leveled by wind...
