Twinkie is the best, she knew how to play without any other instruments and not overplay many of the young church organists these days should listen to her old albums and learn something.
Twinkie can handle and work a Hammond. Her runs and riffs are awesome. I met her in our National Convocation in Memphis. She has a sweet spirit and ANOINTED woman of God
love this so much. Dorinda was not playing around that night. :37 seconds still makes me say saaaang Dorinda. And of course, twinkie is killlllllling that organ, resurrecting it and killing it again.
This song is very inspiring to me. I love it. You sing it beautifully. I remember the Clark family from Detroit, Michigan. I love all the Clark Sisters. Every one of them are talented singers and ministers. I remember Rev. Mattie Moss Clark, a gospel legend, and leader, and all her legendary daughters. I will always appreciate how they shared their talent with the public, teaching and inspiring whoever had a desire to learn to sing. My late mother, Rev. Alberta Murray and I, would try to take singing lessons from the Clark family. We had many health issues that prevented us from being dedicated students, but we were always given something to practice on, at the times we couldn't attend class. I will never forget how the root of Clark Sister's teaching was based on a Biblical principal. Thank you Clark Sisters. Forever stay in the power of GOD.
This was the jam of pentecostals around the nations. Twinkie on the hammond at Mason's Temple. Raw. A praying spirit and good preaching by Mr. clean is on this one.
I heard this song late one night on the radio in Detroit when I was in high school and recorded it but the dj cut it short and I never heard it again until now. I've been trying to find this song for ages and now I can actually say that I did find it on ebay and yes I did buy it. Love this song.
Twinkle did backwards flips all across that board and some # and some!!!!!! I couldn’t believe on till I witnessed it at grater Emanuel. She’s. Bad! !!!!!!!! On that Organ!!!!!
Evang. Dorinda spoke a word, and shes quoted that a lot back in the days, I often quote her on it during church services! HALLELUJAH sang Intl. Mass Choir
This was the song grand ole COGIC style & sound! Twinkie on the Hammond B-3 yes! I'm not for sure whether this particular recording was at Mason's Temple in Memphis or not. I know this, What a classic! The Mattie Moss Mystic and legendary airness and where she was able to lead the music dept. of C.O.G.I.C nationally and globally as well.
It was at Mason Temple...o yes...I've sang there with the Memphis State Black Gospel Choir in 77-78, before O'landa, Ralph Lofton was one of the top organist and a young guy, don't know if he was blind or what, but I saw his at Community Temple COGIC....
Aman to that!!!!! The new school organist wanna try and out play any and everybody...you bring the music down so that the vocals can be heard. When it's the intro or the music break you go up in volume and then come back down when the singing has commenced.

This was when dorinda and Karen voice was alike
They all sounded alike at one point besides maybe Jacky
If she wasn’t a Clark sister we’d think she ruined the song. She seemed like she was unprepared.
That organ tho. Different story
Not really she only messed one part of the song up and it was fixed easily. People woulda still think she SANG THE SONG DOWN
Twinkie? I thought Dr Clark played on this song.
MMMMAAANNN... PLAY TWINKIE!
