Once again finding myself back here. I hate how nostalgic and familiar every single of his songs are. I hate how i still know each word.
This is the only way I can listen to this man anymore. It breaks my heart, especially when ycgma was my comfort album. I can't support an abuser, but I cannot live without ycgma. Stand with Shelby y'all. Even if it hurts.

While I wish I could still listen to all his stuff and "seperate the art from the artist", it's very hard to do so when his true personality is shown in most of these songs. It's hard to listen to some of these lyrics knowing he isn't lying or overexaggerating.

i’m just gonna start off by saying that she has no proof. she claims she had bruises in the pictures with wilbur, but you go back and see she was wearing short clothes (short sleeves, short skirts, short shorts, etc.) and there are no bruises to be seen, but there are bruises on wilbur. i don’t remember exactly where, but i remember seeing a bruise on his wrist, then she says she was covered in bruises.. and the fact she was talking about how she was scared and stuff, so she wouldn’t talk about it, then started rambling and bragging everywhere.. it’s clear that’s for clout. and when she talks about his apartment (i think) was messy and all that, if you’re depressed, upset, etc. it can cause you to become messy, not clean up, possible get angry, etc. biting has been confirmed by his mother, he did it since the age of 5 (i think) but it was consensual biting, none of the biting was done without consent. she had other ex-boyfriends and mostly she said how they abused her, and when she got caught for lying, she deleted all evidence about them. someone said that biting people to show affection is normal. he has had that for a long time and it’s more common than people think. someone used to have a friend who did that and they don’t mean to hurt you! they also said apparently "shvbble would hit him and throw stuff at him" and "she would make him smile in photos with her or she would hurt him"

His music has always been quite comforting, even though i moved fandoms, i was a big lvjy fan, and when my father passed about two years ago, and when i was in a situationship, and gotten back and forthed of leaving and going back, his music kept me comfted, it kinda keot me going, now as i come back, it just makes me so sad, all of that stuff comes back and makes me feel like myslef if hiw i felt, and whi else ctied to this some nights? Ok hear me out I have taken an intake of everything and what has been stated so far by Wilbur and Shelby and everyone else.
So here’s MY opinion.
I believe that the relationship was abusive on both sides and that Shelby(shubble) had been abusive and that Wilbur had been too.
There’s been proof that Wilbur has had bruises on his body but then on photos of Shelby with skin showing(outfit pics:etc) there was no bruises.
Shelby also states that even if she used makeup it wouldn’t cover it.
Also Wilbur never agreed to the abuse?
He agreed that he bit and he was slobbish.
Wilbur would have agreed to the abuse because he already agreed to the slobbishness and biting.
Also Shelby’s other ex’s were accused of abuse?
In just my personal opinion I believe that the relationship was just abusive both ways and that the whole situation needs to be dropped.
Kids have committed, become depressed, been doxxed.
This whole situation has gone to far. There’s a high chance that Wilbur may commit or do harm to himself right after he was done healing from depression( correct me if I’m wrong)
And I just think it’s completely messed up.

This is my first time listening since everything was revealed. What has helped me a little is the fact that we were told that YCGMA was basically our own album, and that our own experiences and interpretations were correct. It helps to view things my own way and have something that I relate to. That being said, fuck William Gold, don’t give him any money or support, and take care of yourself

"You cannot treat people this way without consequence" you also can't throw out serious accusations without proof.
I can't just run to the internet and claim someone murdered someone, and expect them to go to jail forever without an investigation.
These are allegations, at best, and until they can be proven, then they will stay as allegations.
Edit to add: his tone deaf-not apology aside, he's been pretty quiet about this. Meanwhile she keeps posting for more clout every day. This further proves my point she is doing this to literally ruin him, instead of doing it to "raise awarenwss".

literally what i've been thinking. spreading awareness is one thing, but at a certain point it just becomes shit talking. especially when that person has talked about his steps to get better. and something that is NEVER brought up is that he literally had his entire career wrecked in a few days. whether someone believes it's rightful or not, ANYONE would be upset. this is a man with famously bad mental health. people were pressuring him to talk on it. so he did. and then he probably deleted twitter or turned off notifications. obviously a response of someone in that state would not be up to twitter's high as heaven standards.

i think the shelby situation should not have been public. she made it out of spite. wilbur abused but he isnt an abuser. people can change. this is being blown out of the water and being dramaticised. if it hurts you you should seperate the music from the artist. im sorry about what happened to shelby and i can only imagine her pain but this is something that shouldnt been made public. its a problem between the two of them. abuse is when the other person does something with the intention of hurting. wilbur just has a nervous tick. a person who has a tick of hitting people isnt an abuser.
