If it’s just your leg then no issues normally, for those that need a upper chest or head scan it’s an awful experience for most, some countries have a mirror with reflection of flat screen tv and headphones, I had that, it helped watching National Geographic 👍

Had to do the neck scan a few days ago - literally felt like being trapped in a coffin. The only thing I had during the procedure was headphones with some muffled music on. Almost a simulation of your own funeral😂

They played music though it is hard to hea clearly over th loud noises of th MachineM fear left me and l became relaxed.

I had one brain MRI without earplugs too. I thought we can’t for brain mri but apparently people get profession. It was insanely loud. I was just hoping I won’t lose my hearing

I had an MRI on my left knee (meniscus tear after I fell) last Monday the 13th. I listened to the Beach Boys the whole time. I may or may not need surgery. I see Ortho on December 14th. Not much pain involved with it.... 😊

I had two mri's today and I had both of my hands on my chest now ur scaring me. but my chest and above wasn't in the machine bc it was both of my ankles I had to get checked
I've had 4 mri done in my life 1 on my lower back and 3 on my pancreas I was all the way in and only the top of my head was sticking out I almost had a panic attack and almost squeezed the emergency button
I was supposed to get one for my neck. I'm not a huge person and when the sides of the tunnel started to brush my shoulders, I panicked. No problem with a CT scan but never getting another MRI.
I had one today in my lower back. I was fine up until I realized how small that thing is. I legit had an anxiety attack when I was going in. I’m severely claustrophobic, and I don’t like certain pitches it triggers my ptsd. Sooo that being said. My whole body was in that dang thing and I was crying and saying don’t touch me and shaking but I got it done as I’m in lots of left leg pain.
Pls like this comment to get it on the top of the comments for everyone to read coz its important. I suggest you get used to that knee position first before getting an mri. I normally rest my knee when lying down elevated and a little sidewards(45°) but during mri you need to position it elevated and 90° straight. Mine failed 2 times today coz my knee was not comfortable to that position. It gets stiff after 5 minutes and started twitching and shaking. They told me that I will have to pay again after the 3rd try coz the time it will take for the exam was not enough anymore and theres the next patient scheduled already. I didnt try the 3rd time coz I know I really cant do it. Good thing I get a refund. They suggested too that I take the exam while sleeping but it cost double the price, its ridiculous. I will take the exam again next month after getting comfortable on that knee position.

Prior to your appointment they usually ask if you get anxiety or are closterphobic. They will give you a valium. Just make sure you get ot in enough time for it to take effect! You'll be fine. Staff is always very nice and you get their special attention, though they probably won't offer you a sucker ( lolipop) after for being good.😊
MRI is a small world and usually very friendly staff. I can tell you now, we are here to help through your anxieties and do our best to accommodate. Nothing will happen to you though. Besides some funny noises and laying around a while, the hardest part is choosing your favorite music 😉 I hope it went well for you
Had one 3 days ago. I have a problem with my eyes so they scanned that area. The hardest part of the test is that they told me to close my eyes during the MRI, because there will be a lot of radiation in that area. The bed was surprisingly comfortable😂

It's not that bad. I had it last year because of my wrist fracture and the only bad thing was that I had to lie on my stomach uncomfortably. The sound is relaxing and sounds like being in a spaceship hahaha

It had me change into this special gown and I had to get this liquid injected into my blood flow so that the picture is coming more “”this is what the doctor said if we don’t do it it will be like a analog photo and if we do it, it’s gonna be like an HD photo.

Naw i had a spine mri and had to go all the way in they gave me 2 thungs of earbuds thank god it was like 30 min for my neck upper back and lower back since thats how far down tour spine goes

This MRI done on his knee seems like a breeze compared to the MRI I had done on my shoulder; that one was scary. I am claustrophobic.
