- I explain calculus through Minecraft to make it easier to understand. I go through basic integration, such as Reimann sums, and then I cover derivatives.

so after years of trying to convince my school to let me take calculus so i could program better, ive been using calculus this whole time
try reading openstax calculus textbooks, they're free online (not piracy, actually officially free)
the video teaches basic concepts but does not dive into them
Eureka
Wait, they don't have you take calculus as a comp sci student? Or is this highschool
@@rubiusstudios5709 Definitely has to be high school. I've never seen a university that doesn't require at least calc 1 for a degree in CS

"How did you get so good at calculus?"
This guy on minecraft-
that guy actually asked sarcastically
this video is straight to the point and provides intuition as all of the content is presented, essentially allowing for the viewer to grasp the concept on the fly. i'd say the only major criticism is how fast u explain everything, making it easier for the viewer to get lost, but overall, this a wonderful video
true it would be better if it a bit longer and with more example great video nonetheless
video's a bit fast, though i think it'll be understood after a few rewatches
Yeah I think I needed to better explain derivatives at a point, those usually take like 3 months to explain in a classroom so condensing it to 30 seconds wasnt the best choice

0:55 displacement graph
1:55 slope of the displacement-time graph, just to be specific
2:03 i think you mean velocity instead of speed, speed works fine tho
awesome video in summary
yeah it is important to note s(t)=|v(t)| so the calculus would be a lil different but similar
Ngl dude explains it way better than my teachers.
“Go to school kids, it makes you better at PvP”
-Technoblade, 2020
(You can use calculus for PvP mechanics, which is kind of nuts in ranged fights)
Howdy! Im planning to take AP Calc AB this upcoming school year. I've already reached near the end of Unit 5 in the Khan Academy curriculum within just a month at the time of commenting this.
Despite the video going too fast, I found this video accurate and it helped me solidify my knowledge of Calculus further.
I'm leaving my comment here for the algorithm. Thank you for making this video!
the concept is acutually so good. merging my childhood games and calculus that im doing rn really is nostalgic
this video is nice for somebody who already knows calculus, but many of these ideas might take some time to grasp one at a time for people that are introduced to calculus by THIS video, which makes it hard for them since you're going a bit too fast, but for a summary, it does a great job. keep up the good work
THIS IS SO COOL, I'm really looking forward to you doing more amazing things, I know you will.
Thanks for your support! This 4-minute video took like 15 hours to make so I'm happy you liked it
@@Gaming_TermsI just want u to know ur dedication is appreciated 🗿🍷
Awesome man, some of the best content I’ve seen in weeks, keep up the great work
I appreciate it! Ill stay on the grind
Great job man! Nice to see calculus explained in such simple terms
It's always nice seeing people talking about and appreciating the math that goes into things like this. As a mathematician it makes me very happy :]
what's your research area?
@@ffc1a28c7 combinatorics is my main thing, but I do stuff all across discrete math. You never get to escape calculus for long tho no matter the field
That is an amazing introduction to calculus, but I think it'd be better if you explained where the exponent rule comes from.
Also I think at 2:16 it could be made a little clearer that the big red arrow is the speed.
So good!!! I'm subscribing because I can feel how good your channel will do.
You are great at explaining and the example you gave make calculus more easy to understand
keep up the good work bro!!! :)
Nice video. Gotta subscribe and wait for new videos!
Posting a comment to boost this video. Genuinely one of the best introductions to infinitesimal calculus I've seen when it comes to simplicity 👍
Thanks for such good content! That’s awesome - to see someone, who is teaching you intuition and understanding such beautiful thing like math throughout this game. Keep it going!
I absolutely love this! Keep it up!
One of the best math explanation videos I've ever seen
Very well made and informative.
Great video, keep it up like that pal!
This video is amazing, I'll post another comment to boost the algorythm
Much appreciated!
this is really good! spreading the fun of calculus :))))
genuinely one of the better explanations of calculus ive seen. I'll remember it when i'm tutoring calc students
Did i just find a minecraft channel which is literally the best gem ever
what math teacher expected when they said "you'll use this 1 day"
beautiful idea, great presentation, easy-to-digest information. keep up the good work and I hope to see you grow huge one day!
underrated asf channel
This deserves more views. Too underrated.
Omg this so so high quality and underrated
Bro this is an amazing vid, from how you cover the topic to how you present it 🙌
please continue this series!
My man,
You should definitely feel proud right now.
You probably helped many people who have passion for such topics by making it into something more simpler and easier.
And that includes me, even tho i have nkt yet started my higher education, i still like these and I might get a fair idea of calculus from this
@@AnimatedPlayer I’m happy you enjoyed the video and learned something! I hope this sparked an interest in math for you
underrated video amazing editing and explenation
Very nice explanation while keeping it fun, keep it up.
Very cool!
Thanks for revision ❤
I love the cuteness of this video made from minecraft XD
But out of jokes, mathematically precise and informative, just lovely
Ur contents great! You've earned my subscription! ^^
great video idea
My summer calc class covered this last week. This actually helped me with homework.
This is definitely one of the timelines of all time
I just finished mine and passed it, if you’re still in your summer calc class, good luck on your tests!
very insightful video, nugget man. Also just subcribed
nice. really helpful
0:59 the blocks per second vs second graph should be an increasing linear line, not curved, since gravitational acceleration is constant
Thanks for catching that!
pretty well made video
Thank you, I will like |subscrib|
This seems like a cool way to introduce people to math concepts that are really "not fans of it" or to help younger people start learning about higher level mathematical concepts quicker, boosting their progression.
Thats a great way to integrate maths into mincraft. Keep up blud
this is such a satisfying video
You are a godsend, dude. Great job on your videos!
Good stuff!
You are hired 😂 👍🏽
This is a god send, I like math now.
best calculus teacher fr
Nice video.
Amazing!!!!
Awesome man definitely be using this for my final national exam 🗣🙏🏻
This is 10 times more:
Understandable
Interesting
Faster
Than math lessons on school
I think this bit of calc is easily understandable , unless ur teachers are really ass
Currently reviewing calculus for my freshmen year in college. Good vid.
we know calculus with this one🔥🗣️
Very good
Nice video overall, very well done :). The part 3 of the vídeo was kinda confusing, dont think it was very well explained how or why power rule works, or what motivations it has to be that way. Maybe if you gave more graphic examples as well as the equations (showing how the area goes together with the integral and/or the rate of change goes with the derivative), it would be more clear/intuitive how it works. But parts 1 and 2 I think were very clear with the message
I love this video, great job! Only complaint is the rapid fire speed of the information presented. A simple change that would increase the quality of this video a lot more would just be a simple third of a second pause between sentences. If I didn’t know anything about calculus before watching this video, the information wouldn’t be able to sink in quick enough to grasp the explanation.
I’ll keep that in mind for the next video. I’m used to making shorts so I got to learn to adjust better so thank you for that tip
oh boy i cant wait for calculus 3 and circuit design through redstone and use that to review for my finals
This needs to be more popular
agree
omg this video is awesome
Cool video brev
Real cool man
I need this shit bro, tysm.
Beautiful video. 0:55 looks more like the position time graph, otherwise it implies acceleration at an increasing rate (when it should be constant)
Great joob
Cool video! albeit I want to say that I would recommend this video to precalculus students only. They might get a rough idea what's calc 1&2 is about but...One of the greatest things in math is rigorous formal definitions and this video has none.
Its interesting how well Minecraft shows the idea of infinitesimal change (dx). As dx is not infinitely small, but just very very very small, like each Minecraft block in your demonstration.
Man if someone could explain every concept just using mine craft I am paying my everything for him!
NEED MORE OF IT PLEASE
i love this
no fucking way bro im definitely looking forward to calc3 on this
goated video
Here before this blow up
We need more
DAMMNNN CALCULUS IN MINECRAFT BEFORE GTA 6 massive respect
good video
Would like to see linear algebra
nice

good vid, are those sheep exited to study or just hanging around? did the last sheep pass the exam?
i feel like this is gonna help me in school
Epic
0:50 the velocity graph is a line, position is a parabola
remember me when your channel blows up:))
You're the last hope for Gen Alpha man
position=coordinates
Can you make a video on lobotomy next?
Petition to make this into an entire 3b1b like series
Im about to comment why don't you participate in SoMe4 but you did so good job man.
nonrigorous calculus is always fun
3blue1brown has been real quiet since the math brainrot dropped 😂
Excellent video
I think you can submit your video to 3b1b's #SoME4 event
