  • Although the idea of learning how to write a hit rap song in 10 minutes or less seems unbelievable to the untrained ears and mind - the truth is, for anyone who’s been a fan or rapper themselves over the years, we know for a fact that it’s common to hear of legendary stories of now iconic tracks being written in minutes.

    ------------------------------
This video offers a comprehensive guide on crafting a hit rap song in under ten minutes, drawing inspiration from iconic examples like Juice World's "Lucid Dreams" and Eminem's "My Name Is." Emphasizing the power of scatting to develop a catchy chorus, the video reveals how this jazz-era technique can unlock rapid, intuitive song creation. Viewers are walked through a step-by-step process, beginning with immediate chorus development through scatting. This method, proven effective by legends like Dr. Dre and Eminem, allows for the exploration of melodies and rhythms without the constraints of lyrics, fostering a space for spontaneous creativity.
The guide further delves into the art of refining the chorus with a focused concept, using simplicity as a key tool. It highlights the importance of a clear, relatable theme, illustrated by examples like Jeezy's "Put On" and J. Cole's "No Role Modelz." The next phase involves constructing introductory verse bars that are simple yet slightly more complex than the chorus, ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining listener engagement. The video cites Kendrick Lamar's "Humble" as an example of this balance between simplicity and catchiness.
The tutorial then guides viewers through expanding the verse, adding a bit more complexity while keeping the essence catchy. This part of the process involves deepening the song's narrative, maintaining the song's flow, and introducing new elements to captivate the listener. The final step focuses on crafting a bridge, a crucial part that adds depth and variety to the song, as seen in tracks like 50 Cent's "In Da Club."
This approach to songwriting, while rapid, is not about cutting corners. It's a testament to efficiency, creativity, and a deep understanding of song composition. The video underscores that not every song should be written quickly or follow this exact structure, but for those looking to enhance their songwriting speed and skill, this method can be a powerful asset. It concludes by inviting viewers interested in mastering these techniques to explore the "Master The Art of Freestyle" course, offering further training and practice to refine these skills. This video is an invaluable resource for aspiring rappers and songwriters, providing insights and tools to quickly create impactful and memorable rap songs.

I started playing with AI. Feed it some lyrics. Tell it the sound you want and there it is. Point is, this video helped me quite a bit with writing and song structure. I understand it a little better now. Granted the AI does all the work but I’ve written some bangers.

Bro I've been struggling with that shit for a whole year
The only cure is listening to new music. It's hard to explain what u need to fix but it all gets fixed when u listen to more music. But u gotta sing/rap along with the song as it helps u break out of ur general flow.

Whenever I do it, I don’t do it like the jazz guys. I sing a nonsense melody that rides the beat till I like how it sounds. Record the first time you do it too, it makes for the best scats. Also practice freestyles it helps with scatting.
