    Awesome. That's a lot of work, Just amazing video, you are indeed the Clever Dark Elve. wow. I'm sitting here stunned, amazed, dumbfounded, breathless,... and then you ask me to articulate ? Let me just watch a few hundred times more, then perhaps. Tenacious effort, we feel your soul in this. I can only imagine the emotion, the discomfort, and anxious moments sitting in the lightening storms, that went into this masterpiece. Clever, Dark Elve, Very clever.

      Thank you for your kind words of support and for taking the time to watch! There were plenty of anxious moments indeed. For example when lightning struck within 1/4 mile from where I was standing!

    Wow Linda, Speechless! You're just an amazing Artist. Your videos are always so far beyond what anyone else ever does. I don't know how you can stand to go through those Dust/Sand Storms, they just look bad. This was so great, the Grand Canyon looked so awesome. You just know how to make videos that well, WOW! I love Arizona, Flagstaff in the winter was very hard but it's harder here in Iowa so I'd come again in a heartbeat. Just live down around Phoenix or the Mesa area. I need warm at 56!

    Incredible! The fast pace and variety of landscape kept it entertaining the whole way through and the music was a nice change of pace from most time-lapses out there. A lot of the waiting is pretty active, not only do inclement weather conditions like heavy winds require me to hang on to my tripod, I also keep a pretty close eye on changing light conditions and adjust my settings accordingly. Occasionally I get to sit back and relax and at those times I just have a little snack and drink and take in the beauty with my pup.

    I came here to tell you I've been missing your contributions, and find that I am behind by 1. So you get a pass. A very short one. 😉
    The work you do is stunning, Ms. Elve! I am ever impressed. It must take a hero's effort to pull one of these off - I cannot imagine - so I understand the gap. But know that at least one person will stand up and say, I am addicted to your posts and want to up my dose.

      @cleverdarkelve  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Uh Oh! I'm in trouble! Hahah! Thanks for giving me a short pass Dennis! I have been thinking about making a few videos relating the technical or creative effort that goes into what I do. • @DennisLovelady
      @DennisLovelady 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@cleverdarkelve oh gosh, that's an open ended question! Well, some things that have really stuck with me are: your work with a beach chair (I think it was a beach chair) in Timelapse Basics (you had similar case, same video, with a tripod). The fluid melding of lightning and timelapse in the amazing Noctis (which has about 1% of the views I'd expect) - the scene at 2:01 is a study in itself. That closing scene from 3:11 on... Honestly, I'd like to hear whatever you would like to say about your efforts. But those stood out as noticeable to this pre-novice.
      Cannot tell you what it means to me that you asked! Let's just say, a lot.

    • @cleverdarkelve
      @cleverdarkelve  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Dale, I'm glad you like it so much that you keep watching! As to how I keep my equipment from getting soaked.. I really don't most of the time. I do have a glorified plastic baggy that I sometimes tie around my body and lens, but when it's very windy (and it often is) or when I have to setup very quickly (which I often do) there is no point or time for its use.

    Why's it called the Mojave DESERT if 3 months a year it pours on a monsoonal scale?

    • @cleverdarkelve
      @cleverdarkelve  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good question! For one, it has to do with the total annual rainfall for a given region. Since our annual rainfall is far below the accepted levels for non desert regions that makes us a desert. The majority of our rainfall happens during these monsoon seasons! And even having said that, the entire region isn't necessarily treated to these amounts of rainfall. Many parts of the Southwest remain in severe drought even during the monsoon season. Thanks for watching!
