They forgot just add the Battle of Klushino (1610) - Polish-Russian War. Strength: 1) Poland - 6800 men (of which about 5500, or about 80 percent were the famous "winged" hussars) 2) Russia - 30000 Russians and 5000 mercenaries ! Casualties and losses: 1) Poland - 400 2) Russia - 5000 Result: Decisive Polish victory Poles are the only ones ever captured Moscow !
Greeting from China!! We respect your history and culture, we also love Frederic Chopin and Warszawa. Not all Chinese people like fuck Soviet Union. I support your country and Ukraine fight for freedom! Hope your country prosperous in the future.
I'm 1/4th Polish 25% and I have no idea about my Polish ancestry...it's sad because I really want to know about the culture and the country's traditions. I feel like it's a missing part of me.
Behemoth, Vader, Michal Kalecki, Andrzej Sapkowski and Witcher series... And perhaps the dearest insignia I like to see on Spitfire is of course of 303rd Fighter Squadron. That being my favourite warbird. Thanks Poland.
Great movie showing difficult history of Poland withing 8 minutes. UE flag at the end is an interesting idea. It would be good to include pope John Paul II to show Poland's way to freedom and EU. Thank you for sharing.
Polska to wielki kraj ... Ukraina i Polska zawsze były związane ... I Pole pochodzenie etniczne, ale ja mieszkam na Ukrainie, rozumiem, jak trudno było pozbyć się komunistycznego jarzma. Dziękuję braciom! Dobrobyt i bogactwo Polska. Przepraszam, może jeszcze nie wiem zbyt wiele polskich, ale pamiętaj, aby nauczyć)
As Lithuanian I'll mention, that Poland wasn't always a kind neighbor, at lest in the beginning of XX century. However there are more things those unites our nations, rather than separates. Nice movie, but Zecpospolita wasn't only Poland. Let's live in piece
Beautifil! Congratulations to one of the most brave people in the world. (Maybe a little note for those who doesnt know Poland´s history so well). Greetings for a mexican friend.
Most countries are ruined by their politicians. As a student of history, I love Polish history; it really is sad that most people, at least here in the UK, are unaware that Poland existed at all prior to the First World War. Regardless, despite our shitty respective governments, here's to a better future for both our countries :)
Fantastic animation, sums up the history of this great country perfectly. The world has so much to thank Poland for, yet I think it gets forgotten about sometimes.
mam nadzieje ze osoba ktora leciela ze mna ryanairem do Londynu a urzekla mnie mnie swoja wrazliwoscia, inteligencja I poczuciem humour dotarla na ta stone :)
Exactly. Rzeczpospolita was Poland + Lithuania + Ruthenia + Jews, Armenians, Germans. But mostly polish and lithuanian nobility, with some ruthenians were main political force. It is strange to me, that some people don't discern Poland right now from Rzeczpospolita. It was whole different country, and Poles were not even a majority there...
Wczoraj nauczycielka puszczała nam to na historii :) Fajnie mieć kraj z taką historią... jest się czym chwalić i co opowiadać :D (Yesterday ,my teacher schowed it to us on history lesson :D I am proud of my country's history !)
What a great little film. Cheers to the director, composer the animators, and all the others involved. IMHO referencing the events by name in addition to the year (even if only in the description) would make this the perfect crashcourse. PS. And more boobs.
Great video, i liked it. But there is few parts which i didnt like. Some facts are not shown. Well, but this is made only to show off. All in all it is nice made. Cheers from Lithuania.
Vladimir Gorbatov, you're a brainwashed child, that's it. You dare to claim that Soviet army did save Poland. I say the Soviet army did attack Poland like last coward just after German army did. The Soviet troops did push against Germans, for Stalin, not to save Poland. They destroyed and took what Germans didn't already. Not only in Poland, the same happened in all east of Europe opened to Soviets by our western allies-traitors. Start to learn more than one side propaganda. A question for you, did you ever ask why no victory parade was performed in Moscow for a decade after the war? What did Soviet government really do to the real heroes of their war? Wake up.
This video was made by Tomasz Bagiński, a famous polish creator of animation, he was nominated for Oscar with "Cathedral".You can find his videos on TH-cam:)And this is a movie that's waiting for all Poland,The Warsaw Uprising in the cyber punk version: watch?v=ND_S0VoeaYg Unfortunately, work on this film has been cancelled due to lack of money. As you can see, the idea is great so if you know a film company that would have million dollars to support this project, please write to Tomek.
Masz po części rację, ale patrzysz pod złym kątem...Ten film nie powstał w celu edukacyjnym, ale by zainteresować i zwrócić uwagę ludzi na polską historię, by ew. doczytali sobie sami... Gdyby miał to być film edukacyjny, to musiałby trwać 8 godzin, a nie 8 minut i wtedy mało komu chciałoby się go oglądać... Lepiej zachęcać do zdobywania wiedzy samemu, niż tłuc komuś do łba na siłę...
Amazing, of course it may gloss over certain historical details, but as an overview of a country with such a long, complex history as Poland, I think it hit all the important points. Even though there are 2 sides to every story, I wish more countries would encourage a concise depiction of their history like this, it entices the viewer to look deeper
I quite liked it. The EU was something of a new hope for Poland when they joined in 2004, after all the trauma they had been through, so you can see why they put it in there.
crusaders (teutonic order) were our enemy. Firstly brought to Poland to help but than they built entire independent state that started to threaten Polish interests. They were finally taken care of in the 16th century.
1918 Poland gets independence 1939 Poland loses independence(what was the USSR supposed to do, exactly in 9/39? Sit there and let Germany take Western Ukraine and Belarus?) 1989 Poland gets independence 2004 Poland gives independence away to Brussels 2004-present Poland moves to Germany, the UK, and Ireland. WTF?
There is a habit in Poland, to ask for blessing before going out. The men on this video was leaving out home, to fight with Napoleon's army, and in this very common way simply asking his wife for blessing and permit to fight on this war. That's why he is kneeling, and kissing her hand. It's quite common habit even now :)
Ohh, very good animation! ;) Poland and the polish people live in the hungarian peoples heart. Good neighboors, good friends, and borthers forever. God bless Poland!
the video has a lot of emotions for Poles, especially relationship and conflict with Teutonic Order. We were brought up in socialistic time where westeners were "bad". This image in relation to T.O. remains somewhat today. There would be definitely changes if I made this video. I was born and raised in Poland and got to see 80's till now and I have good perspective, I hope.
I don't think it was Biskupin - just a generic grod (Slavic fortified settlement) from IX century (look at the dates in down-left corner). The looks of wooden palisades haven't change much since early iron age. Beside Biskupin was not located on a hill.
Its a farewell of a Polish underground soldier today we call them insurgents... Propably its made according to the picture of Arthur Grottger called "Farewell" look wikipedia: Artur_Grottger . Made to show Rescpect for Polish independece fighter, to show that Poland as a country is more important than familiy... If you want to more about Polish hostory please write to me :)

This made me cry....
That was really cool, especially if I live in the USA.
I am polish. I didnt like the ending with UE flag.
Everytime when we are getting owned by enemies we always rise from ashes like a phoenix.
Kocham Polska calym sercem!

What a fantastic animation, and I certainly learnt a lot from it. Much respect, from Britain.
Awesome! Love it!
Zabrakło Jana Pawła 2
7:21 :)
Kilka decydujących bitew nie było, oraz wybór Jana Pała II, bez niego nie było by wolnej Polski. A tak bardzo ładne.
Fantastic animation, sums up the history of this great country perfectly. The world has so much to thank Poland for, yet I think it gets forgotten about sometimes.
Happy Birthday, Poland. Greetings from Hungary.

Dokładnie - z jednej niewoli w drugą...
This would be a awesome video for Age of Empire's
1918 Poland gets independence

What is the name of the music playing when it shows Chopin? Really interested in hearing the full version of it.
The Teutonic Knights are too awesome.
you got that mixed up the one at 1:12 is the Teutonic Order and the one at 1:15 is Polish-Lithuanian light horse or Light hussars
Has no narrator. It's a video made at a expo in China. Poland forever! :D
apel do toworcy tego video, zdejmij ten kawalek z flaga unii europejskiej
The way things are going, that won't last that long.
It's the video game version of Polish history. It's a version. As valid as any other, I guess.
the video has a lot of emotions for Poles, especially relationship and conflict with Teutonic Order. We were brought up in socialistic time where westeners were "bad". This man is a soldier who goes to France. Poles joined the French revolution in the hope that the Congress of Vienna will give them independence.
wow just wow : ) loved it
Boje sie :D
Where's the narrator? I'd like to know what's happening in each scene because I'm interested in Polish history, even though I'm not Polish myself.
jedyne co mnie martwi to ta eu na końcu
Would you rather they re-wrote Polish history to accomodate some, then?

Jesteś dobrym człowiekiem :)
Interesting video.
Uwierz mi, że od czasu rzeczypospolitej obojga narodów, to nic lepszego jak Unia jeszcze Polski nie spotkało.
Can somebody tell me 4:11 what history time was that about? Thank-you.
Gdzie się podział Potop Szwedzki? Przecież to ważna część polskiej historii.

Why I knew that you are Lithuanian, before I looked at your channel?? ;)
