The walk from Crook's Peak along the ridge towards Winscombe is one I would like to do again but in better weather. Hopefully you'll get back one day and do it yourself too, atb Simon
Another interesting hike and interesting too see you are continuing on to bath. I looked at the route on the Map and I could possibly use it to get to the coast for my journey to lands end ambition’s. On a different subject I recently started looking after a large neglected garden one day a week and hopefully I shall get it looking better within 18 months. I’m enjoying it although I’m akeing a lot today. Saw a newt in the undergrowth too today, that was exciting. Anyway ATB. Ohh it has a small overgrown orchard section but I’m going to get a tree surgeon in to remove most of them. 👍🍺
Yes, Cotswold Way to Bath, Saxons Kings Way, then the Mendip Way. Which crosses the English Coast Path near Uphill! ECP takes you to Minehead, then the SWCP to Land's End (it's my preferred route atm, 🤔). Sounds like you've a big job on your hands there but rewarding when it's finished. Are you going to re-plant the orchard for your bees?
