    As was already mentioned in this comments section - what you pay is what you get. I too wish the AA carbon is better executed since the very idea of this version of the model is in it. But MR is considerably more expensive, has red rear light for no reason (real life car has transparent white ones). And the last but not the least - is completely sealed for the amount it costs... Therefore at the end it comes to personal financial capabilities and priorities. My decision: will wait for a while to see if AA anounces other versions in solid or clear carbon color schemes (in RL there also are with blue and with red accents).

    Excellent comparison! While I'm an AUTOart fan through and through, I will admit that the details and quality on the MR are far more superior than that on the AUTOart. However, the color on the MR seems off to me. It looks way too light, and gives off a Chicane Grey paint theme. Very hard to tell that it's carbon fiber. On AUTOart's, albeit the carbon weave being out of scale, you can tell that the whole body is carbon right away. The color is also more black, which I feel suits the car better and is more accurate (color wise, not carbon size).

      I should have mentioned it in the video, but my photo box has 600w of high power LED lights and show the darker colored models lighter than they appear in person. While the MR version looks grey, it is in fact a very dark grey in persom, more like real carbon. The carbon on the AUTOart is jet black with silver carbon threads. But overall, I am disappointed with the AUTOart version in carbon and have already sold this model on.

      i just dont get the ideia of doing a model that does not open doors, if i want to know how this lambo looks with open doors one will have to watch photos of autoart models or the real cars in theyr phones... a car that does not open doors and motor bay is in my opinions souless@@ROBSMODELCARS

      when a see sealed RESIN models and i look at the doors and motor bay lines and see that toyish lines i feel imediately like im watching a toy and not a model... besides all the better details the resin models have when i see those poor shallow lines i instantly regret the ideia of bying a resin model@@ROBSMODELCARS

    There both nice but for some reason I still prefer auto art over mr or bbr. But as the say you usually get what you pay for.

      My preference is as simple as this; I like opening models over sealed. I can appreciate the quality of these sealed resin models but the price just doesn't make sense for me.

    Overall Autoart has been better to me.
    The one MR Collection model I own while nice, had an eye sore blemish.(flaked off carbon stickers)
    The many Autoart models I own have no or minor blemishes.(faint glue spots)

    soon i will have both of them, the MR i have already, but the roadster is a must for me =) the bigger carbon fiber pattern is fine for me, can barely be seen on the MR version, without going very close

    Rob, the AUTOart has some CF decal but the majority of the body is executed with tampo print technique just like the Veyron Sang Noir. That is most likely the reason why the weave has a larger pitch because of technical limitations with the tampo print vs the decal.

    • @ROBSMODELCARS
      @ROBSMODELCARS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't think AA use tampo printing anymore as the wastage rate is too high. This model is ALL decals, why do I know this, because I was modifying a coupe version for someone and I accidentally lifted some of the carbon decal with some masking tape. It pulled it straight off the plastic body. With tampo printing, this will not happen.

    • @stselpidis
      @stselpidis 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      As I mentioned there is both tampo and CF decal on these models. The front hood for example is tampo for sure, if you have a good magnifier or microscope this can be easily verified. But I agree there are also many panels that are decals.

    i respect all of your opinions but autoart is the best and have openable doors trunk and hood which makes it more better

    I think I'm done with all AA models now, and only as a guide, an MR Centenario in Giallo Midas sold this week on Ebay (pre owned, mint condition) for £194 sterling..still a better deal than a new flimsy composite imo.

    • @LTCTTM
      @LTCTTM 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed, AA composite is rubbish.

    • @ROBSMODELCARS
      @ROBSMODELCARS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thats a great price for a MR Centenario. So many people rubbish the high end sealed resin models, but they kill all other models in details and paint finish.

      @ROBSMODELCARS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would buy a colored version of the AA Centenario rather than the carbon version IMHO

    Autoart is better and more fun, what can you do with the MR model? And people pay high price for nothing.
