Are you reviewing the demo and the full game seperately? There were quite a few differences with the final game.

First hunt should be considered its own game. Its completely different from the final game. First hunt on its own is solid fun just a bit short.

Thought you hated Metroid Primes's controls on GC?
I dropped this game after 5 mins because I thought I was gonna scratch my bottom screen scratching all over with the stylus trying to aim.

No, not at all - I think the original GC controls still work great for Prime, I just prefer the Wii controls for the freedom of aiming.
I kept worrying I’d drop the DS, playing this game! I used the Wii U VC version to get captured footage and that was probably worse!
It’s really easy to forget how much DS screens looked like they were scratched, even if they weren’t :) I miss the little thumb shoe that came with the original DS model - Great for Mario 64!

I actually love MPs controls and I always fall back into them after years away. 👍

Personally I gave up on using the stylus, and just used my finger.

I didn’t have any issues with Prime or Hunter’s controls 🤷‍♂️ Both are terrific for their respective gameplay styles. A second thumbstick on the DS would’ve nevertheless been the better choice though.
