Watching it a bit backwards but I'm thoroughly enjoying this epic review series! My version of Prime actually came with a demo disc of Echoes and this was the only way that I've played it. By the time that I wanted to play another installment Prime 3 was already out so I impatiently skipped. This really makes me want to visit the full version as the demo kind of made the mechanics feel tedious at the time. Keep up the top notch work!

Nice review! Finished this game and FFXII in prison. No joke🙃 The wierd part: memory cards were only allowed for NGC and not - for some reason - for PS2. Also no joke, haha. Had to leave the PS2 on for over 300 hours. No joke.

Not sure what’s crazier, letting you play great games in prison, or only letting you have NGC memory cards :)

@@PugHoofGaming I died alot in FFXII the first few times I tried it. And without a memory card, game over literally meant it was over. Almost deemed it hopeless. But I had time to kill right, so I kept at it. Came up with a strategy of spending a sick amount of time with the first enemies and leveling up like shit. It worked out. Killed the final boss with my party at around level 70. A fantastic gaming experience. I even took a few marks (optional enemies)

Like I mentioned on your Prime 1 Video, Multiplayer yikes but, the beginning and kinda horror feeling set a good atmospheric mood in the game but kinda destroy it for me with cutscene and voice acting part. I'll give the gamecube version a try again🤔

I never liked this game that much, despite the original being one of my all time favourite games ever. I played it when it first released but that’s it. All I remember is getting bored of it, I didn’t find any of it as good as the original. Probably down to the bland world as you said in your review. I also thought the Luminoth were a bit naff, and having one chin wagging with you throughout the game just very un-Metroid like.
Speaking of chin wagging, they went overboard with that in Prime 3! I look forward to hearing your take on Prime 3, I never finished that as I just didn’t feel like I was playing a Metroid Prime game anymore and instead some generic 2000s cinematic space shooter.

Hard disagree about Aether being bland. That's the best part about it. It feels more natural, spooky, and eerie. I get it's not as colorful as typical fire, ice, etc, that's precisely why I love it.
