We visit Rocamadour, the cliff-hanging medieval French village - Our Camper Trips

In this video, the sixth in a longer series from our late summer trip 2024 to France, Northeastern Spain, Andorra and back through France/Provence, we visit the magnificent medieval village of Rocamadour. We stayed at a camper site very close, in short but steep walking distance, to the medieval village. It's important to notice, that if you want to park/stay at that place, there might be a restricted time frame to enter the road to the parking area in the high season. Leaving is no problem, but of course, there might be loads of pedestrians on the road. If you don't fancy all the steep roads and stairs, there are elevators for the worst parts. By the way, there is also another, easily accessible parking area for campers, which is also close to the village. But perhaps not as cosy as the first mentioned.

I denne video, den sjette i en længere serie, fra vores sensommertur i 2024 til Frankrig, Nordøstspanien, Andorra, og tilbage gennem Frankrig/Provence, besøger vi middelalderbyen Rocamadour der ligger som klinet op ad en stejl klippevæg. Vi holdt på en parkeringsplads hvor autocampere er velkomne, også om natten. Pladsen ligger i kort men stejl gåafstand til den dejlige middelalderby. Vi vil lige nævne at der i højsæsonen kan være tidsbegrænsning på kørsel på vejen til parkeringspladsen. Udkørsel er ikke reguleret, men der kan være mange fodgængere på vejen. Hvis man ikke har lyst til at gå på stejle veje og mange trappetrin er der elevatorer til de værste passager. Der er forresten også en anden autocamperplads tæt på landsbyen, den er nemmere at komme til, men måske heller ikke helt så hyggelig.
