What you didn’t mention is that a folding pocket knife with a locking blade is not considered to be a folding pocket knife from a legal perspective, and therefore possession without a good reason is illegal. I bought one with a 3” blade from Blacks, they said it was legal. I keep it in a bag and use it for collecting fungi. I have to be careful not to carry it in my coat, in case I forget it is there. I don’t know if I could be done. Otherwise, it’s a good video.
Thank you for the point made and sharing your experiences - you are absolutely right and the sadly the statute is limited in providing a clear explanation of what is and is not acceptable as a folding knife and hence case law is has developed the law. I have a separate post on folding knives coming out soon to explore the illegality of folding pockets knives with a blade of 3 inches or less which are not immediately foldable with a locking mechanism.
am i allowed to have a swiss army knife if im 13
Thanks for advice 🙂
