Video quality had improved so much since I was little! 😂 Hadn’t been able to see half of the little details of the frilled lizard when shown by the Kratt brothers, but I can see them in your video. The colors are so cool! Yellow mouth, red and black speckling under the chin… loved seeing behind the frill and your explanation about the bones in the frill- hadn’t noticed how many little bones gave the frills form! I thought it was more like dewlap of an iguana.
I love the bobble head Brian pose that actually had me in suspense for a second waiting for what he was about to say cause he looked like he was about to say something smart or informative. Lol
I was in the middle of binge watching Kusko's videos when I was finally notified you'd uploaded (two hours later, of course). This has been one epic adventure, I'm so glad you guys were able to do it before all of this madness ensued. Thanks for the excellent escape 🤘
Thank you for your concern but I've been back from this trip for a while at home and doing the social distancing thing. I upload once a week, so this Australia series will last a while from now
It’s honestly baffling to me how few views you get. The production value and variety of video you produced is far and away the best in the reptile youtuber community. Your videos remind me so much of Steve Irwin’s stuff from so long ago. Come on TH-cam algorithm! Figure it out and make this man a star!
Lmfao looked like y’all had a blast. I fell instantly in love with the monitor you found and showing the backside of the frill was pretty cool. I have never seen a shot of that and also didn’t realize that it kinda was like a batwing like Brian said.
Wow Dave , a Mitchelli water monitor ! A very little know varanus specie ! I would say the smallest among all varanus connected to the aquatic enviroment . It's a real pity that this specie is impossible to find in captivity . Very beautiful finding . I love aquatic lizards , they are so interesting .

I have watched these most of the night I love to watch these types programmes but scared stiff of snakes I must say Dāv you are just as good as David Attenborough
That northern gecko was pretty cool. But my one of my favourites is the Golden Tailed gecko. But you would have to venture down to my neck of the woods in sunny Queensland and the Brigalow Belt to find them in the wild.
Brown tree snake. Night Tiger refers to this form rather than the almost solid coloured form found locally in NSW where I am. I've not heard them called banded tree snake before. The frog I've heard called Crucifix toad rather than holy cross.
I would have loved to have seen a Darwins carpet python along with all the other beautiful animals. I did notice that the children's python as well as the first tiger...(forgot name already) snake also had the amazing slit eyes similar to carpet pythons. The Michelin water monitor was my favourite. I have a yellow acki and was hoping to find the next size up. The one you held looked like it would be quite happy to move into a 3 bedroom house.
Hey Dav, a little correction from an Aussie based in Darwin: the monitors eat the cane toads (not the other way around), but because the cane toads are invasive the monitors and other natives don't have immunity to the toad's poison and they die. It's been horrible too see, we used to have Frill Necks and Goannas everywhere, but they are slowly bouncing back!
As I understand it both are a problem. Wildlife dies when they eat the toads, but the toads also eat the wildlife, especially when they are small. Those cane toads will eat anything smaller than themselves.

These dudes talk about each other’s danger noodles a surprising amount.

Loving the dynamics between you guys.
And of course the wonderful reptiles. The frilled neck was stunning. Can't wait to see some morelia
My farm is called Morelia. Morelia carpet snakes are all around the place here.
Those frilled lizards get bigger than I expected. Look awesome.

Is the holy cross frog a type of rain frog?
It’s funny because I’ve done that trip Darwin to Alice Springs I had sore eyes looking for field neck lizard on the trees all the way
Thanks for the adventure videos
I love watching you guys and when your together it's like batman and superman in the same movie ❤️. Double treat 👍....
You forgot to show the best bit of the frill neck. The way it runs on 2 feet.

The dingo ate my baby! Hahahaha
I wonder how many people don't get this when it is said.
Love the Australian stuff
that monitor was like, yah dude, humans are dumb, they pick you up and pet you, and sometimes they feed you
How do you catch them without legal problems? Conservation state is really extreme in Australia.
You can catch and release. You can't remove them though.
It is illegal to even catch them but we had permits set up in advance to do this so it's all good.
Dāv Kaufman's Reptile Adventures I’m wondering if that is location specific or something as I’ve never heard this. And I’m an Aussie

That's why the scientific community uses latin names. There are often multiple generic names for the same animal.
Is it possible to get the water monitor as a pet?
11:06 that makes driving on the wrong side all worth it.
