What I love about the way Goblin Slayer is introduced is how different he is to every stereotype of a "hero", while at the same time being more like a hero than pretty much every other character. He isn't some legendary figure on a stage, surrounded by confetti and celebrations and thousands of adoring fans, like what heroes are so often portrayed as. He isn't some untouchable god that might as well not exist because he'll never be within a hundred metres of the common, every-day person. He's the kind of Adventurer that Fighter and Priestess and so many others look up from their suffering and pain to see right in front of them. He is the manifestation of the rage and willpower that so many people that get preyed upon by goblins wish they had. He's not standing there, hands on his hips, chest out, flashing some charming smile. He's there to get things done, and to wreak havoc and vengeance. He doesn't waste time. He refuses to let the useless things so many people think a hero should be get in his way, and something about that just gives me chills.
That's what makes him special, like John Wick or Doom Slayer, these are not men of morals or compelled by ideals such as "The Greater Good". They are driven only by the need for bloody vengeance, the pure genocidal rage and will to exterminate a group or race that has wronged them in life, so too that they would seek their utter destruction. Hence why the Goblins see him, not as a simple man, but a demon; the Emissary of Death. The very embodiment of Wrath itself!
@@Kalivon893 We need more Goblin Slayer from the goblins' point of view. That scene in episode 7/light novel volume 2 (I forgot which chapter of the manga it is) when Goblin Slayer gets back up after strangling the champion, and reaches towards the goblins with his shattered hand, while his eye glows and his voice is all dark and guttural, is beyond awesome
"So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again."
Against all the evil the goblins have conquered against all the greenest that mankind cannot produce we will send unto them only you Rip and tear until it is done
The Party: "Theres demons, the Demon Lord, and monsters about in force, we need to save the land and the people!" Goblin Slayer: "I sleep..." Goblins: **Exist** Goblin Slayer: 1:26
1:26 That was the moment when the party discovers the human fighter was secretly an Oath of Vengeance paladin multiclassing into Path of Wrath Barbarian....and has now just risen again after three failed saving throws and has now become a *Revenant.* ...Oh, and hes also now raging, calling upon his oath, and just made a deal with the dark gods for thirty seconds of carnage.
-There are no goblins - There are no demona - No demons indeed - No aliens whatsoever - Not a single one. - Yep. - And not a single God ... - What a nice place!

@ethanclarke1347 You should write a script for next season intro.
7:43 the beginning of the “RIP AND TEAR CHANT”
Rip and tear, until I find all the absolute gold edits of the Goblins Slayer with DOOM tracks
"So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we never need you again."
This is way too good, you get the timing spot on and that's something most AMV makers miss. This should have way more views.
I know, I love videos that have a good combination, thanks for your comment :D
@@MacrossAMV No problem! I fucking love the Doom ost and goblin slayer so this video was awesome to find.

Imagine Goblin Slayer, Doom Slayer, Guts, Master Chief, Hellboy, Spawn, and Kratos in one room.

He's not here to save the world. He'll never be a hero. His only mission is to slay goblins?
They say fear is grown from myth
Myth based on stories
Stories told by survivors
So why does no goblin fear the goblin slayer
there are no myths
for there are no stories to be made into
as there are no survivors
When the boss is almost dead
