Gotta have ammo to make ammo. There's a minimum amount you need, or it'll just round down. And it works a bit different for swords. Last I checked reserves on armor don't help there, but maybe I was just at cap anyways...
Definitely should. Defaults are all about controlling spawn points. If you set any while covering the default area, you'll spawn there instead, and if you miss any of the default area you'll spawn in the spot you missed. That's the main way to find it. It's invisibly, so you mostly know where it is by where people spawn. With a few people spawning in at once you can generally tell the rough shape of it.

It takes an extra heavy, but Titans can also use a Cleaver-type sword and slam down grav-lifts. Maybe the new exotic sword would be better though since it's a special that any class can use and can come with aggressive frames?
i went back from a witness CP, the second chest isnt there. you gotta clear verity i think. for the first one I just played the raid, then let all of my teammates swap. ( i was by the 1st chest) when you spawn in the room chest room and you dont have to do jump-puzzle.
For whatever reason the second chest isn't there. Probably since it's the same as the active zone, and sadly we don't know any way to glitch to boss from an earlier checkpoint.

I wanted to try getting back from Dissipation, but when I try to fallback spawn it just shuffles me around the platform. Is there any way to get it to work, or head back down the elevator?
Fallback points only activate if no other spawn point is available. The easiest way to do this is to have no spawn history and block off the default. This became harder in Haunted, since they removed the death exclusion zone, which invalidated spawnpoint within a certain distance of where you died. Nowadays you must individually block such spawn points. When possible, it's more straightforward to hit a load and then go back, never staying on the ground for more time than it takes to jump. If you die, you'll spawn at the default spawn, and if you stay within 9m you can walk normally without setting any spawn points. You can then use that 3/2 stasis pattern to block most default spawns.
Is the first zone/instanced area in Destiny 2, right after Ghaul kicks you off and you're lightless, a separate zone/instance from everything else in the game? I tried to find information on it but there didn't seem to be much online.
Pretty sure that's its own thing, like the hawk following bit, and the Quarantine Sector/Blackened Forest mission (there have been at least three separate Quarantine Sectors)

Definitely not. Hasn't been a patch since I did it last, and they've never patched a fallback. Fallbacks currently require you to both be very careful about spawn points, and to cover a precise area. If you leave gaps uncovered in that area, you'll spawn in them. If you set spawns outside that area, you'll spawn there. What I do is die after hitting a load to spawn at the default. I then choose a direction and take a few paces, then fire a 2/3 pattern with Salvations Grip, die, and respawn before crystals disappear. When setting up the crystal pattern it's important that you strafe, and not rotate. If you rotate, the crystal pattern will be misaligned and likely leave gaps.

Low max ammo when you're alive, high max ammo while dead before respawning. For sword you change the ammo perks on weapon. For others you can use chest reserve mods and armor swapping.
@ While alive, you set your maximum ammo to low. If you're using a sword, that would mean something like jagged edge. For other guns, you'd switch off of any reserve mods. Then die, and increase your max ammo count as high as possible while dead before respawning. For swords, switch to like enduring blade. For others, swap on reserve mods, or swap chest piece to one with em, then respawn.

If you're using Salvations Grip to die, you'll want to make sure you do it a distance away since it's pretty effective at destroying the crystals too. The crystals also disappear on a timer if you don't do it fast enough. For ammo gen, you need a minimum amount for it to work.
This is so you don't have to do a 2 hour raid with people who don't know what to do. You just grab a boss cp from a bot and do this once a week for 3 red borders. 1 from the code, 1 from the key, and 1 from paying spoils

Just found out that if you're solo, you can skip the 1st encounter door by repeating the same process to get back to the start in reverse!

You need to swap in air before you touch the ground. Once the countdown is going, it'll continue to 0, or until you die.

If you die after the load you'll just respawn at default. That's the easiest way, otherwise you have to memorize where.

The first secret chest is gettable from a third encounter checkpoint, you just got to run back and beat the door that spawns in to block you

Yeah, go up outside of the elevator. You can then go around the outside and pass 3rd.

if you're loading in from a boss checkpoint it doesn't start you at the beginning unfortunately
