- The Hobby Boss 1/48 scale B-24J is a nicely detailed model. In this extensive “Tape Up Review” Mike takes you step by step through the major sub-assemblies and shows you how to construct them with dozens of tips and techniques.

Very informative video
Lovely tape up review. Thanks so much Mike!
Love these assembly reviews. Still debating between 1/48 or Airfix's new B-24.
I prefer 1/48 scale.
Can the gun turrets be added once the fuselage is closed?
@@Xandina1 yep
Think we can get a 1/48 PB4Y-2 Privateer someday?
If we do it will most likely be a Trumpeter kit
Here is a question: How much weight is needed up front to get this model to sit right? The instructions show where the weight should go, but they don't say how much weight is required.
Good question
I have not built this one yet, but I am working on the Revell/Monogram kit.
I should know in a month or so.
@@scalemodeling -Okay, good. If you remember, let me know what you find out about it. And I'll check back too.
I really appreciate your thorough and accurate reviews.
Thanks Paul
Purchased one of your books at a local hobby store back in the 90’s. Still have it in my library of modeling books and references. About this video series of this B-24, thankful you put this together to show us the problem areas of the kit. Looks like it’s going to require a bit of aftermarket to get it “right” - engines and nose glass for sure. I typically display my aircraft models in flight, so I won’t have to be concerned with the nose weigh issue, thankfully. I currently have the old Monogram B-24D on the bench with build in progress, but the HB kit will be soon afterwards. Thank you for posting the videos.
After i finish the Monogram C-47 its onto my Monogram B-24D too!
