    While the saber's the main highlight here, I also want to point out that EM arcs also need some love. They're so darn good.

    honestly sabers are great. give them the hp regen and range, and they can acctually bully the bigger heavys pretty well.
    People sleep on this, and also typhoons because there not "meta" its surprising really. glad someone picked up on there awesomeness.

      Agreed. I'd love to see more pros embrace the saber and not the saber-cash

      Sabers are the cheap version of a fortress, great single target damage, good rate of fire, sizable hp pool, tech for range to make it a carry, tech for tanking.

    Someone please tell the devs to make they keys rebindable.
    And not just "different preset key formats". make the keys fully rebindable.
    It's not a big ask, console games have had this since the PS1.

    Nice video!
    I struggle alot against people with loads of Mustangs+Stormcallers and against Taran+Scorps. Any advice? feels like mustangs kill all the good counters (mainly air) against and storms kill everything else. Scorps just do too much dmg for me to handle for the most part.

      mustangs die to fires, so counter with fire stormcallers or vulcan
      storms can be managed with waves of chaff, AM devices, or just AM on units (mustang, sabertooth)
      taran+scorp combo is weak against storms or melters if you have good chaff clear

      @@stoneymechabellum I will try that. I do love my Sledges against storms butthe second people see sledges they tend to just get 3+ scorps

    This could have been a default win in the Last Round , just place a second(Level 2) Ufo in the Back and use a Mobile Beacon to keep it there. Give Armor in Addition to your repair. 4 Level 1 Sniper only slightly out Damage this Ufo and never your Big Level 4 One. If even one Sniper dies (Or aims at your Big one) you Won by Default.

    hey is it just me or did the missile defense on the sabers work better when you got range upgrade? or was that when it was levelled? something i'm going to take more notice of in the future

      You got my curiosity. Just tested it, and I can confirm that range doesn't affect AM at all. I think ranged sabers can just get to storms faster. Less storms, less missiles to defend.

      @@stoneymechabellum yeah nice. It really did appear that once the saber got to level 2 it was basically taking care of 1 pack of storms.

      AM is always a bit of a black box mechanic. The vague description doesn't really help either (like, how exactly is AM less effective the longer they shoot?!)

      @@stoneymechabellum I was going to ask the question, what exactly is the algorithm of AM, but didn't want to ask too many questions and be weird af. I have noticed, even with mustang AM, it SEEMS like the higher the level, the better the AM, almost like the missiles have HP or something.

      @@someaussiebloke4487 I'll ask bearlike (game creator) on our next interview this week. I believe missiles do have HP, and the AM bullets also have a dmg rating. There's some sort of calculation done for the missile and bullet travel time and aim variance, which is why if your AM device is further back they'll have a harder time intercepting missiles that almost land when within AM range.

    Round 9 or so you didn't want to take tower speed? I'm pretty sure speed is making units fire faster as they turn and aim faster. Not sure that's intended. Also I think the wraith carried it.

      @@stoneymechabellum it is for melters. They turn and lock on blazing fast. Not many people use tower speed at 800 so took a while to see it. Idk if it's intended.

      Recently I had a game, speed spec, fang mech rage, tower speed. And maybe another speed idk, 20-23 speed fangs are a sight with range too.

    Saber got op because your opponent was a stormcallers addict. If he opted out of them after you clicked antimissile you would have ended up with awkward sabertooth don't you think?

      A bit. Early tempo is always nice and if it forces my opponent to sell for multiple turns while I get to lvl the tanks, why not?

      @@stoneymechabellum I would say because if he replaces storms with a good counter to the many sabertooth you have a very ineffective unit that is extra expensive to tech. Range + am is 400 more crédits than just range...

      Agreed. That's what I usually do when I see sabers on the field.
      In this game, I was setting it up for saber-mustang, which means my opponent will probably need to go firestorms at some point so I wasn't worried about the tech investment.

      @@felixbeaudouin1899 That is true for any unit you tech, but he could still sell the sabers and buy other things too. And sabers are still good even without the storm callers, especially against carry archlights. The hard counter would be melters, but melters can be countered by marksmen, chaff and wasps. So as usual, it all depends on tempo, placement and special powers use.
