Laughing at the DW comments, really sad there is large segment of the population that cant put common sense info together and everything to them is about politics. Lets look at the facts:
1. Christian family
2. Home schools their children
3. Moved to Northern Idaho (bought the land and moved, before it became "fashionable" and before the worldwide thing of 2020 that can not be discussed on this media site.
4. Former Law Enforcement
5. Owns firearms
6. Self Sufficient mindset growing what they eat.
7. When it comes to finances, espouse a traditional mindset of paying for things cash and staying out of debt.
And yet some people shocked to hear about DW which indicates the family might be of a traditionalist persuasion politically. Sadly for this surprised segment of the population 2+2 really does equal 5.
GSL - love your channel, its growth and success, have followed it since the pre 100K viewers, early rabbit vid days and paying off debt. Your family rocks!

It is very unfortunate that parents also pass down the thought process of group politics. I read comments, from different posts, where people claim a political party, but they all share the same values. You just can't assume all democrats are against weapons, and want open borders any more than Republicans are xenophobic and pro-lfe.

Clearly this is a conservative family and as someone who is a liberal I have enjoyed watching them. It makes me sad people would stop watching you because of political views when this isn’t a political channel. We have to stop viewing each other as conservative and liberal first. We have more in common. I am not a fan of DW due to the lack of credibility and accuracy. I don’t agree with their agenda but why does that mean people who disagree with me aren’t worthy of my time or caring. We all need to remember that we have more in common than what separates us.

We learned that quote from watching Fr Patrick Peyton, CSC on tv during our youth.
Father Patrick Peyton, (1/1909-6/1992) an Irish born priest, & USA based Holy Cross Father, was the original creator of the statement:” He who prays together, stays together” Fr Peyton also founded the Family Rosary Crusade.
So Father’s message, which started in Massachusetts, made its’ way to faithful Filipino people. I’m sure if he were alive today, he’d be thrilled!

Click bait titles and thumbnails (which I don't think this is) help the algorithm and help the channel grow. In a perfect world creators could just be here for our amusement but in the real world it is usually a business and their livleyhood with taxes, expenses and everything else that comes with running a business.

At a certain time in the summer, in the Smoky Mountains National Park, there is a huge synchronized firefly display. You guys need to check out East Tennessee - different from Nashville.
$50 for tour of opry? That is robbery and ridiculous to charge that amount.
There's one born every minute and never give a sucker an even break.
The wife and I took the tour in 2022. Worth every penny! Get to see things behind the scenes, green rooms, and get to stand on the piece of floor they brought over from the Reinman (sp) Auditorium, the original Opry. It's the center of the country music world! It costs you $45 to get into the NFL Hall of Fame!

It never ceases to amaze me when people think they can "trash talk" and still think it's going to change someone's mind. It only makes us understand how limited some people think and how far we've fallen from each persons inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The reason most of our ancestors came here was to escape persecution and here they are persecuting others in an attempt to sway someone to their view. @@michaelw1665 daily wire asked them to come and visit and basically vlog the trip and share it on their channel, so the trip was funded by the daily wire. That is the "job" , they were paid to go meet with the daily wire folks and share about the Daily Wire subscription. Similar to when they have a sponsor for a video, like Raycon ear buds, or the Norton antivirus, etc. Those are paid sponsor videos so the company pays them for doing an ad for them in one of their videos. So, in this situation they left their home went to visit the sponsor (daily wire) and talked about their subscription and what comes with the subscription etc. Hope this helps to make it clearer.

Best part of coming home is how excited the dog gets (cat could care less)
It depends how you treat and train your cat. My cat is like a dog. When I leave him he is waiting for me. He greets my husband so much if he leaves and comes home. As soon as he hears the door open he perks right up and goes to him and meows for his attention. My cats names are Ollie and sissy. Sissy is Ollie’s daughter. Ollie is 13 years old and is the most brilliant cat I have ever known. He’s very talkative. When I first started dating my husband he was in love with him immediately and vice versa! When my husband would leave Ollie would wait by the door for him. Me, my son, and Ollie moved to Michigan to be with my husband. Ollie road 7 hours in the car and hardly make a sound. When we pulled up to the house and got out of the car and carried him in, I was afraid he would go hide somewhere, but he came in and smelled around and laid down and acted like he lived here forever haha. I let Ollie mate and we got sissy. She is in love with my husband. They are half Maine Coon and very smart.

Where have all the lightening bugs gone. I grew up in the Mountains of West Virginia. As a kid they were everywhere! We would catch them and put them in a jar and play with them and then set them free. I miss those days
We home schooled our children from K-12.. We traveled with them a great deal and the kids were wonderfully flexible and learned a great deal about our world and people from the many places we visited. We tried to take advantage of opportunities as we traveled and did our school work, trying to incorporate our daily travel into our lesson plans. Homeschooling is an individual family lifestyle and your family culture and values are reflect how you live your life as an independent family.

We went there a year ago and it wasn't for us , so we packed up and drove three hours across and went to our favorite place Gatlinburg. It was like ahhh to us. You have to go one day. They have everything there. Best family place ever.

Nashville was our home for 5 yrs. We loved the area. We lived in SpringHill which is next door to FRANKLIN. LOVED IT. You get used to seeing celebs and just treat them like next door neighbors. Also July 4th fireworks on the river in the big N is the best ever!

Not a fan of the DW but glad you got to experience Nashville. I visited there in 2013 only to come home and diagnosed with breast cancer. But my memories of that visit got me through. Love your videos of the homestead.
You have no idea how jealous I am! Getting to see all the daily wire cast. Getting to talk to them and watch backstage live, for me, is like putting Homer Simpson in an all you can eat donut shop lol. That would truly be a dream come true for me and my daughter.
