My old hometown. Miss it and the whole UK terribly. I used to live outside Hornton on Quarry Rd. Went to Hornton school and then Easington modern girls. My best freind was Susan Batchelor from Balscote
@@spectrumwalkingtourshello, yes I can see the changes, so sad. In my time it was a lovely, bustling market town. Saturday mornings if driving there one would end up behind a flock of sheep and sheepdog. I was never in a hurry so was happy to wait until they split the flock in half to drive through. High street was full of individual shops, we had a couple of bakers, a good butcher that would save scraps and bones for our dogs. The biggest shop was Woolsworth at the bottom of HighStreet. No supermarkets, no fast food places. Two chippy, one at top of High street, the other down in the market place. Parson street had some lovely little pokey shops my mum loved to browse in. Now it's all modern looking junk closed shops and general depression. I am thankful I have my good memories of it. Thanks for the video, stay safe.
