Stories of Bike EP1: Tunnels (A Honda GB250 Story)
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 3 พ.ค. 2013
- The first of a series of episodes about custom motorcycle and owner.
A much overlooked option for customisation in Australia, the Honda GB250 is known for its reliability and relative quick speed for a 250cc engine. Bruno, found the GB250 to be something a little left of field when looking for his bike of choice. In the last year he has made the bike his own, with some cost effective mods that still result in making his a unique and distinct cafe racer.
As for Bruno's choice of armour? (That is, not much). It's his choice. Let it be.

It’s crazy to look back now, but watching these videos when I was deployed in the Middle East got me so excited to come home and buy a cafe racer! Such great videos well done 👍
Glad you got home safe. Did you get that cafe racer, though?
@@storiesofbike thanks! Indeed I did, unfortunately I grew a passion for old triumph bikes though so the one I bought never worked for long 😂 hence I ended up on a kinda modern classic version! And now I own a social moto garage in Brisbane so I can work on all the cafe racers I like! 😅
Fuck the haters!!! It's your bike and your life and you look like your enjoying both of them. Having lived in Sydney for over 10 years I've blasted through those tunnels myself many times. Have fun, ride safe and look after that cool bike of yours.
Being a hipster is a subculture. All of us have roots in some subculture or another, no matter what we like or where we're from. Even the people who think that they don't belong to subcultures have a subculture of their own. Those are hipsters.
The cinematography in this is superb! Cool story and bike too.
Just the "yolo" plate is ehhhh...... Each to their own I guess! Haha
Good job none the less
Beautiful bike, my dad owned Honda CB back in 70s. Really cool bike.
All your videos rock
i also own a Honda cbf 125
and yes it have made my life more adventurous
today i have my own stories to
really bikes are born free machines
YEAH! Portugal is awesome, super cool landscapes!
Thanks Garrett! We're more than happy for you to spread the word!
beautiful motorcycle, really inspiring
This is like the bike version of Petrolicious.
love it-though i personaly would use a bigger headlight!
Nice film, and nice bike! Makes me swooon for motorcycles!
Love the videos! I am already buying a motorcycle for riding in the last remaining months left before winter but these videos really make me want to buy a bonnie or scrambler!!!
Beautiful shots in your videos. You definitely earned my sub.
Who said you need a big bike?
This bike is awesome !!
One of my most favorite feelings is the sound and vibration from riding in the tunnels. I was really hoping you'd capture that somewhere in the close to 4 minute video but i was disappointed. Nonetheless mate, rad bike. Good on ya!
amazing sound of this bike
fantastic cafe racer stories
Very well done video, you got to love bikes, and you brought the love of bikes across the video. I have always admired cafe racers, I prefer fast machines at times, but I would want a cafe racer in my office.
One note, the safety gear is missing, looks cool but you guys have to bring that msg across
More more more bike stories love it!!!!
Hey from Brissy guys! Love what you did with this series of vids. You've really captured the essence of what it is to be a custom/vintage motorcycle junkie, and I love that it's come from Australia! (as we have relatively small cafe scene compared to the rest of the world). If I may, I have a quick question for you though.. is this tunnel in the video the Clem7 in Brissy? Cheers :)
it looks absolutely amazing!
oh dear... what has motorcycling become... "yolo" on a gb 250? my mum used to ride one of those... how cute.
Well done mate, great video & awesome bike.
Nice mods on it, dream bike ...
Beautiful bike
Thanks! Will have another one for you in a couple of days. Make sure to subscribe!
Awesome. Looking forward to the next episode : )
awesome bike...all the best
great stories, well done. cant wait for more videos. :)
Hey Steve, we actually shot a lot of this in around the Sydney airport and M5/Eastern Distributor tunnels. But we're keen to head up to Brissy soon and shoot an ep there.
That last shot in the tunnel. How? Must have been 3am. Awesome video.
Haha! Correct!
@@storiesofbike You Bloody Rock Star.
this is one beautiful bike wow!
I like the way you make your stories :)
Great Video, and beautiful bike!
He loves the concept of YOLO so much that he has it on his custom numberplate.
For the price of keeping that numberplate ($200 annually) for a few years you could easily afford ALL THE GEAR so that when some soccer mum knocks you off your bike, you can stand a better chance of being able to walk away from it and, you know, _continue living_.
But apparently it's okay, COZ YOLO :{
LOL I have to agree!
Anyone who rides a motorcycle lives a YOLO lifestyle.
Casey Woodruff Yeah, it's kinda redundant.
I guess it could be worse...he could be riding a pimped out Hayabusa with a swing-arm and neons and a plate that says 'SWAG' instead.
Casey Woodruff Its not what you do, its how you do it.
David Morisset I should clarify; I ride and I am ATGATT. That being said, it must be understood that getting a motorcycle endorsement automatically shortens your life expectancy, that was my only point. Of course, a moronic driver may be at higher risk than a motorcycle rider, such as myself, one must understand that it takes time and practice to control a bike and the real cold truth is...you might make a mistake...and die...in that learning period. Usually, though, you'll just fall and, hopefully, ride again.
For the love of Pete, grip the damn tank with your knees.
Love the video and the story around it but you should never drive without gear, I drive all year round in every weather and never go out without my gear, even in the heat of the summer, when it's very tempting ! It's too dangerous. That said, love the video and all the series you guys have done, keep doing that and ride safe.
Awesome bike. Awesome video.
Hey Trumpet, the GB250 isn't a huge bike and Bruno is about 6'2" and as he's mostly cruising long straight roads, he sits with his arms straight. When I sat on the bike it felt natural to do the same.
we all do it... but riding without good gear is the stupidest thing you can do. You only have one body - respect it. one fall can send you to heaven or hospital hell. A friend of mine slid under a truck at 25km/h and broke his back - thankfully he is good now. but take my advice and wear good gear.
Do i need to spend big?
Some of the jackets i see are $400 plus
Can you give me a rough idea for pricing? Thanks
bad ass second hand vintage leather jacket on ebay for $70 and a pair of good jeans from a good shop for $50 and some work boots for 30-50. thats all you need. not to mention people you know who own bikes almost surely have spare gear ;) all of my mates do.
Wow, Thanks alot! Very helpful!
No worries buddy :) helmets on eBay are also really cheap!!! Although make sure they follow your regulations. As some countries will fine you if they are not made right ;)
Will the gear save ur back when gone under the. Truck??
it's curious how in almost all the videos they same the words..''it give's the sense of freedom'' and it's damn right! some of us bikers really ride for pure passion, being free in our own world on that small seat grabbing those handlebars and just go somewhere.
My TRX does have such a deep baß that the whole tunnels are vibrating!
good bike
GREAT BIKE
im getting this bike in a couple of months....also have a suzuki grasstracker.
Nicely shot, subbed!
GB250, yep that's one on my list for when my lottery numbers come up, along with a 400 or 500 as well. I myself do not subscribe to the you only live once thing though, I feel I have lived before and will again but I can understand the idea, and even use it myself as YOLTLO you only live this life once.
Wouahou, wonderfull bike, wonderfull guy. But, wonderfull small video, I like, realy I like.
Hi Chance, we produce all our videos. See more at our website. Links are in the description.
Great video! The police car in the picture is not portuguese but italian.
wicked ride yo!
So cool bro. by the way what year is this GB maybe 82's? any restaurations to the engine?, on the video i see she runs like a clock and pretty fast. thanks and again awesome bike nice roads great video guys.
My pic is my old Honda CB72 café racer that I had in the mid sixties. Size isn't everything, I recon a pair of 'Ace' bars (Ace Café) will bring you foreward about 5-6" so your bum is over the shockers and your knees fit the tank. enjoy it.
very nice production and editing. are you guys using a dslr or camcorder?
People! It's about the bike. Not the rider.
beauty !
Hey, cool bike, can you please advise what handlebars your running? are you using risers? thanks
thats the freedom of choice
The rips in the jeans at the knee are for improved road rash effects. People dress like this until they crash then they learn the hard way that not wearing proper motorcycle gear is a VERY bad idea. Darwin effect kids!
I agree w/ everything except the last bit lol :)
I recently slid on Kevlar jeans, and while the friction burn from the Kevlar was bad, it was nothing compared to if I had of been wearing regular jeans and suffered road rash. My next pair will have knee armour also.
No disrespect, but the point of this video isn't safety although safety is always important, I believe it's about the unadorned spirit of riding and all the joys associated with it. Thank you and may we remain combustible...lol
Here's a non-motorcycle related question for you. I loved the style of this video, who produced it?
Cool Bike Man! ...Where can I get those firestone tyres from Europe please anyone knows? :)
o pái dele deve ser Tuga hehehe love it!
Really cool video of an awesome bike!
The guy is portuguese :-) but the picture of the police car is not... Polícia is the right name.
Ia comentar o mesmo agora
класний байк!
What year is that? Nice!
only thing I would change would be the Plate.
I know! I couldn't find a Portuguese police car to use! If you can send me a photo, I'll get it fixed for a remastered release.
Hey your more than welcome to come to Portugal to ride and run from the cops, but that car shown was actually Italian..lol but it's pretty much the same crapy cars.
Hey guys, Frothing the series your doing. I have a GB250 myself an i am chasing this exact seat. Do you know where he sourced it from or can you hook me up with the guys details so we can talk bikes?
Cheers
Ehehe...The italian police chasing your father in the hills of Portugal?? Damn...:P
Awsome bike, great feature and to the owner of the bike don't listen to all those people bitching about your jeans or whatever you got on it's your life your bike don't let anyone tell you how to live it.. YOLO
other than that cool stuff
i have the same one it's around 93 or so
and now 2019 go for a Sinis 250
Worth much more with original paint and fargles
Was the base bike the GB250 Clubman?
Hey mate, another Syd rider here. Just wondering why you're positioned so far back on the seat? With your arms so stretched to the bar your ability to corner hard is really limited. Each to their own I guess.
yep..ok
Does anyone know what year this GB250 is?
how much are your bike????
whats the use of that mirror ?
zerotwofifteen to see behind you
I think this guy has his front wheel off center 2:27
Any idea what size tires those are?
firestone tyres, suuuper unsafe.
cansofcoke I heard, but after the tire size more than anything...
Are you also Portuguese?
is it just me or did anyone else find the random clip of him in goggles at 0:53 strange?
Reality is not like this cause I know how bad Sydney traffic is
leather doesnt always make you cooler its all perspective
... he'll only need to slide once to fully understand his number plate
Riding position is all wrong (you want to be up front some more, where the center of gravity is, also helps with traction under braking and cornering). Clip-ons but no rearsets? Now that's an interesting combo. And don't get me started on those Firestone rubber lol. Nice try at being different and cool though.
У меня такой ))))
I urge you to buy some gear. Boots, jacket, pants, gloves. It could save your skin.
Great bike, great video.
i think fat tires will make ur bike looks cooler
1986
DSLR
dude not everyone comes out fully geared , and i'm sure people are fully aware of the consequences
"yolo" plate? seriously?
Jeans with holes on the knees... so your skin and the pavement can become one at lightning speed.
forzared101 stop bitching mom take care of yourself
