Stories of Bike EP7: Romance (A '71 Triumph Tiger Story)

- For Chris, the talented builder of this 1971 Triumph Tiger bobber, romance comes in many forms. And, like most of us who have known romance, Chris is not one who would part with his romances lightly.
After hanging up his racing helmet and giving the dirt racers away, Chris realised he needed to keep bikes in his life.
And so, began his life as a road rider and the build of his beautiful Tiger hardtail that would also later bring him solace.

I'm a lifelong motorbike rider and I'm amazed at the quality of your 'Stories of the Bike' series, which are deeply moving to me. My eyes are wet reading of Karen's passing, and I also grieve for her husbands loss, touched by the story of their love for each other. Karen left Chris with two proud sons, so in many ways, a part of her is still here. I wish all the best for you guys.
You hit the nail on the head !!!! ,exactly my thoughts on this story 👍.
Take care on the road mate and stay safe.
Peace out ✌
Beautiful story..... Lost my wife to cancer in 02, my children, my bike and my biker family have been my salvation. God bless you and your family Chris
Bikes and horses. Best therapy ever. Keep the wind on your faces, guys.
Transcends the motorcycle and gives us a wonderful portrait of passion, vulnerability and love. Story telling at its finest.
I stupidly sold my Bonnie 35 years ago when I inadvertently became a dad. When/if I get enough dosh to get another old Triumph, this Tiger is the way I'll model her. Thankyou for these stories.....they're keeping me going. It's beautiful to see how people can care so much for each other.
These videos have all the things i am passionate about: Music, cinematography, bikes, living in the country, relationships with family/friends/girlfriend. They're beautiful, really.
Whenever I see a custom build I always end up wondering more about the builder's story than the bike's story. Building a bike is an extension of the soul- it's great to see such a well done film about the beautiful people behind that beautiful bike. Thanks for sharing.
I wil suggest this channel for every one because its about human stories and bikes
Brilliant. It's not about bikes. it's about life. We have many things to deal with in out lives. This could be one of them.
What a beautiful bike and love story.
Chris and sons, I never knew your wife and mother, but, I could tell from this video that she was a really great lady. Our condolences to you from my family to yours.
The pain that you feel now, although unbearable, will subside. You will get stronger everyday. May you guys have peace.
I lost my father few months ago. He had cancer too. I sold his Norge but was able to keep his V35 and R65. Motorbikes were our passion, something we shared and would always talk about. I love riding my bikes, I love my father. Thank you Stories of Bike.
Great couple and great bike....nothing better than old brit iron.
I’m pretty late here but what I just viewed was was the kind of love that everyone in the world needs.
On the off chance you read this, Chris, I wish you all the best, mate. Your story was an amazing one, and as someone who's new to the community, seeing the beautiful relationship between you, Karen and your bikes really hit me to the core and help mellow me a bit. I hope you're doing well, I hope your family is doing well and I hope you keep on doing what you and Karen loved doing. Thanks for sharing this with us, mate. Take care.
I love this episode! My thoughts and prayers for you Chris and Karen! Thank-you for sharing your love and lives with us.
Thats a beautiful bike, the frame is perfect, the drop and stretch is just right.

I don't know you but you can just watch this video and see how much you two loved each other. That will last forever even though she is gone now, a very rare gem.
Why bad things happen to good people only is beyond my knowledge. God bless this family.
Chris, your bike is nothing short of amazing. You and your wife are awe inspiring. The hardships you have to endure have really pulled you both to new heights and I wish you all the blessings life has to offer. Stay strong and know that my thoughts are with you both!
All the best for Karen! Very good series too!

From the first minute Chris started talking I could see he carries great pain - its in the eyes
Every episode catches the meaning of someones life. Beautiful!

Beautiful. This is my favourite of all the episodes. I hope they beat cancer and spend many more years together. How is Caren doing?
Karen is still fighting on. She had some good news later last year, but is back onto the chemo at the moment. I still hope will all my heart that she beats this.
I can't stop watching these stories of bike videos over and over. Its sort of like the petrolicious channel, just awesome stories about humans and machines, and the tales of both.
Rest in peace Karen. My sympathies to Chris and the family.

My heart broke at the end when I read "rest in peace, Karen"... What a beautiful couple. Ride on, Chris. God bless.
It's really an awesome story to tell, brought me to tears. Chris's Triumph is great, but the story that comes behind it is much more awesome. Thank you for sharing.
If you ask me it's a compliment :-)
I wish you two all the best in life. I came for an easy inspiration for my own bike, and left with one smiling and one crying eye. Didn't expect this.
So really; thank you.

then rides up back of me smiling. Great vid.
I feel for them on the cancer thing, I lost my bladder to it last year and have another year or more before I can be pretty sure it'll be gone for good. Thinking about getting back on my bikes kept me going, even if it took longer than I hoped.
Legends. Two great people.
Best wishes Karen & Chris. Thanks for sharing your story & your lives.
Wish you guys many more years keep hope alive !

The Story telling is so beautiful here, with a very apt music in the background and the right touch of emotions. It delivers more than a couple of hours of film would. Keep making them guys! Thanks.
