The commenter was probably referencing My Mate Vince who is a now popular fix-it/troubleshooting content creator if you weren't aware. Good work in this one. Vin is power from your power supply and Vdd is the positive power within your circuit, IIRC (source v. regulated).
Thank you Tom. I need to look into the different ways voltages are referenced. Knowing them will probably help with more indepth repairs. So Vin could be from a power source, which changes to Vdd when it starts going through the circuit. I think I read another identifier for voltage after a switch too but I might be just confusing myself. More homework is definitely needed on this. I'll look up this Vince person too ;)
Thank you @yanghao8351 This one took me quite a long time but I just couldn't quit. Every trace repair I did, I was sure would fix it. I was very happy when it finally switched on.
Thanks Mike. If I get another one, the chips will come off and all the lines from the connector to the chips will be traced fully before I put the chips back on. These chips can stand some abuse by the looks of it.
You did well with the link wires, maybe purchase some speaker wire ( the wire to make speaker coils) or find some old speakers, if you get stuck I’ve probably got some old to speakers you can try 😊
Thanks Gary. For trace repair, I've always used the wire from a motor from an old microwave, never had a problem with it. Probably the same type of coated wire.

Excellent video and great repair work. The force was with you on that repair. Another cartridge saved from the darkside.

Well done Phil, thanks for the shout 😁

@ oh it looked thick lol I stand corrected Philip lol 😂 keep up the good work
It's because I make it look so effortless with my exceptional soldering skills lol.
