In the jets that I got, #70 is stock, #80 the smallest and #60 the largest. I'm running a #72, 2 steps leaner, 50-1 Stehl chainsaw oil. 82 gas. In the carburetor I have moved the "E" clip to #2 from the top. This leans out the Low and Midrange throttle. These 2 stroke engines like the heat, to a point. Warm them up completely. Readjust the idle screw,, back it out a tad slowing the idle down a little. The engine will do this a couple of more time. From start you will hear the sharp "pops" in the exhaust note. As all the metal in the engine warms to running temperature the shift from 4 stroke to smooth 2 stroke you will hear this and feel this. I'm running the Firestorm with a pipe, head, hot plug on a 26in, 2.25in tires 32lbs frt, 42lbs rr. Alu beach cruiser w/ a 36 tooth. Top end so far on flat 46mph,. Then @ 70% power comfortable cruise @ 30 mph all day long. 70mpg.

This makes sense. My is an all factory 80cc aside from decking, port matching the intake, drilling holes in the factory intake box, and cut ths tube off the muffler cap. I notice a ton of choke is required on cold start unless I give it a tiny bit of a rev. So absolutely the idle depends of engine temp.
Hey, remember me? I'm the guy whose life you saved by telling me about fenders on motorized bikes. Thanks again! I'm sure someone has already said it but, Stock carb has #70 jet. I ordered that same jet kit. Still waiting for it. I'm at 4500 feet and mine is running a little rich with the needle second notch down from top. Spark plug looks pretty good though. light brown. So I'm thinking #60 or #62. I'll test it with new plug to get a more accurate reading. Don't want the lean meanies eating my piston.

you shouldnt use marine 2strike oil because it isnt for air cooled engines such as your bike motor is. it may cause your bike to run hot. just thought id let you know in case you werent aware of the differences.
I get what you are saying. But this is Klotz in this video. I didn’t have any issues with this experiment. I did not run this mixture for long rides. I used the recommended amount of Klotz and added that little squirt from that syringe. Honestly I’d have to go back and watch it to get the answer for you. That was months ago 🤣. I believe I used the proper amount recommended on the bottle for the gallon of gas
It is not good to use outboard oil in an air cooled engine, the outboard oil burns at a much lower temp because it's water cooled resulting in less oiling. I burned up a leaf blower because of that.
